Tragedy of Medusa

Bra historia, fina bilder och vackra flickor. De som spelat Euryales gambit ska veta att denna VN är tiden innan Euryales VN och om hur det blev när medusa blev "dödad" av Atena och de andra olymperna.. Eftersom jag tycker att historien om Euryale är fantastisk så gillar jag också denna VN, rekommenderar den å det varmaste och ger den 8 lägereldar av 5 möjliga, ser fram i mot mera Euryale matrial..

Even though this is not yet finished there is quite some content already. The story is nice with likable characters and an intriguing plot. The scenes are beautiful. I like it a lot.

Nicht empfehlenswert - warum? Manche Figuren sind zwar ansehnlich, aber die Welt insgesamt ist leer und häßlich. Eine Visual Novel lebt ja nun zum Teil auch vom optischen Eindruck und der ist hier alles in allem sehr enttäuschend. Es gibt zwar zahlreiche Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten, bei denen zwar einige zum gleichen Ergebnis führen, aber mich hat die Story nicht abgeholt. Ob es am im Hintergrund mitschwingenden Inzest-Vibe liegt, was aber wohl normal aufgrund des geschichtlichen Hintergrund der alten Götter Griechenlands, die ja alle miteinander verwandt waren und trotzdem zusammen Kinder zeugten. Oder aber an den Charakteren selbst, von denen keiner wirklich interessant erscheint und einen irgendwie emotional berührt. Da trägt es dann zur Immersion auch nicht bei, wenn eine Göttin im alten Griechenland Tanlines vorweisen kann.... Ganz schlimm ist es allerdings, wenn andere Figuren augenscheinlich nach Manga-Charakteren geschaffen wurden - auch wenn wir uns hier im Bereich Fantasy/Fabelwesen/Göttermythologie bewegen, geht für mich das Mischen von "normal" aussehenden 3D Modellen und solchen mit Manga-Vergangenheit mit für das Genre typischen übergroßen Augen gar nicht. Denen will ich dann auch nicht bei spezieller Gymnastik zuschauen - sorry. Deshalb gibt es auch keine Empfehlung - die Spielwelt ist leer und wirkt billig, die Figuren sind nicht ausbalanciert, mir macht das Spiel keinerlei Spaß. Rückerstattung wurde schon beantragt.

deepglugs does a wonderful job of retelling mythical events with entirely possible twists. Tragedy of Medusa tells of the Gorgon Medusa, but from a different perspective, it becomes an almost completely different story, in a beautiful way. While this game does contain choices, most are slightly altered dialogue. And, while this game does have adult content, it's not a fap fest, but a story with sex and such occurring.

Although I think the story is much different than the original Greek myths of Medusa, still an entertaining story that kept my attention throughout. Follow up with the sequel to this in Eurayles Gambit.

Story telling is excellent, though not yet finished. Graphics are enticing. There is a slow build up to corruption of the main protagonists in this story.
