In short, its a good place to start learning, but you gotta deal with a lot of bugginess. Let me first say, this is a solid intro to stock trading. For the beginning stock trader, the ability to paper trade really helps (especially for a reasonable price on steam). The ability to control how fast the stock moves (days per second) means I can speed up and slow down time to see if my trade works out. The game progression, while some have complained about, I think is a benefit. You start off with (basically) no indicators, just the candlesticks and volume. You can purchase indicators as you make money, then earn that money back from watching a in-game youtube video and answering a quick quiz. This forces you to return to basics and not get caught up in all the fancy indicators you could use. Another huge benefit I love is not being able to see the name of the stock, industry or other indicators. That way it doesn't bias my judgement (ohh 2008 is coming up) etc. The downside is the game is buggy af and some QoL stuff is lacking. A sample of the bugs I ran into today: Inputing a stop-loss on a stock, the price input is weird and will often not capture the price you entered (13.65 somehow becomes 103.65). MACD isn't lined up with the chart. 200 day MA will appear when the game is paused, but disappear when you play. I purchased the Fibonacci tool only to not be able to find it anywhere. You cannot directly input the moving averages you want to appear (e.g. typing 20/50/100/200), you have to drag a slider where you want (and sometimes you just need to settle for 99 instead of 100 days). In short, if you're looking to a solid introduction to stock trading, and are willing to put up with some weird bugginess, pick it up.

this was not worth the 10 bucks. i could just have watched the videos on youtube myself. the game itself is buggy and doesnt explain anything very well. its mostly a gambling simulator where you just throw yourself at a bull market until you progress through the game. its gambling. wish i could get my money back
the simulation seems good but the technical analysis tools are locked and must be unlocked with in-game capital which is kind of annoying. and the game is not comprehensive: to progress in the game and unlock all the tools, you will need an internet connection to watch the embedded youtube video (from a third party) and perhaps leave the game to understand the concepts also ETF mode is totally broken. also game has ads of developer's other games would be a thumbs up if progression was optional. i.e. allow user to remove the game aspects and focus purely on the learning and simulation
While fundamental analysis will always beat technical analysis, this is a decent sim for paper trading.
This game is so buggy that whatever enjoyment I can find here is completely and utterly ruined by constant problems. The game either slows down to a crawl despite having top tier processor and ram, or it fails to autosave, or the upgrades don't work, or even basic things like the charting is wrong. It's actually unbelievable they keep layering more onto this turd instead of fixing the very basics. It's so buggy, I hit the report bug / feedback button and I get a blank grey screen. Are we being trolled?
I want the bots >:( Where are they?! >>>>>>:(((((((((( [strike] Good [/strike] game other then the lack of f*cking bots I'M NOT GOING TO SPEND 3 DAYS GRINDING TO GET 5 GRAND TO UNLOCK THE BOTS!
A frustrating gambling simulator and migraine-generator. If you enjoy ticking through 30 years of a stocks history at no faster than 1 day per second, you'll love this game. No useful information is available in the beginning- just candlestick charts in terms of ratios and percentages without any actual prices or reports. The periods covered of each stock are arbitrary, and the simulation will end without warning, cashing out your position. If you make a mistake and lose most of your money, you have to wait for the entire current run to end before you can try the next random stock. Your other option is to restart and lose all your progress and have to repurchase everything again. I uninstalled the game on my second run, 4th stock, after the simulation had run for 27 years at 1 day/second, with 53$ left in cash. There is no learning curve in the beginning, and I don't have hours to waste endlessly grinding at flipping a coin and guessing when each simulation will end. Regretfully purchased.
I love this game. As someone who has 10+ years trading FX/Futures/Options I always keep my discretionary technical skills sharp. This helps a lot.
Not realistic as I do this in real life, and am profitable. Real stock data is used sure, but no news or volatility index, trends etc. are given to you. Lessons an info are good, but mechanics of trading are poor in that the Buy/Sell amounts/sell all should be all customizable. The fact I can't dump all my shares at once is silly. Can't move on to the other portions of the sim due to not doing enough hours or "beating" the stock levels. Indicators are poor, and for someone whos never done this its like this, "Here are the worst indicators for trading and an account with no money, go win, good luck..."
buy the game : start 1st game . not able to trade anything no money . instant able to unlock all upgrade to xx millions. all of them . try to buy or short : bot things . unable to close window or go back . blocked here . i would have love this training game but it was unplayable for me from start . ask a refund sadly
