I remember playing Cuphead on different platforms for the past 7 years, and i forgot to write this a long time ago, but in all seriousness this game is a beautiful addition to the indie game & rubber hose space despite it being just a singleboss game... so my conclusion, a 9/10... this is clearly what an ALMOST PERFECT Cuphead fangame is in my book. 1 last thing, this being made by a SINGLE person and not a small team is just insane.
Sum weird hitboxes and hard to see attacks but overall totally worth it and insane to think its made by a single person
Voto 8/10
Really Good. Almost As Good As Cuphead
so good and hard at the same time
Although I enjoyed the game, I can't recommend it to anyone except for those desperate for more Cuphead-like gameplay. With some adjustments it could have been a good game though. The main problem is that the difficulty comes from the weird movement system. When you tap jump, you go max height, unless you press down to fall. You can change direction (left/right) in the air as much as you want, but you can't go neutral once you have tapped either direction. After you dash, you're unable to do a little correction. Games with limited air control can be good, but this isn't that. Cuphead has a good movement system, and the difficulty comes from there being so much going on, you struggle to keep track of it all. In this game, there isn't as much going on, and dodging overlapping attacks is only difficult because of the awkward controls. The hitboxes also feel too big. This probably means they're exactly right instead of slightly lenient in favor of the player. Or maybe it's that you can still be hit by the corner of a projectile if it is 90% below the ground. I would have preferred more projectiles but smaller hitboxes. For some reason, some telegraphed attacks on the higher difficulty are reversed, so if you switch difficulties, you have to unlearn your acquired reflexes. Another layer of fake difficulty. Not being able to set your controls doesn't help either. And since there is no charge weapon or parryable objects, there is no reason for there to be a fire button at all, it should just auto-fire. I got a gold medal, meaning beating the game hitless on Extreme difficulty within the time limit. I also beat the game with the other 3 weapons, which don't change much. Total 5 hours.
