Absolute Gem Of An Indie Game! Dev really cares about the quality & it shows! Mechanics are smooooooove and tons of fun with friends. Immense amount of game modes to keep it fresh. Defo worth if you’re looking for a co-op/pvp multiplayer title
Great fun! so many weapons to play, many play-styles to learn. Very cool to see the map slowly being destroyed among the chaos. I can see this being a lot of fun at multiplayer gaming meetups.
A very fun game of 2D fighting. Best played with friends on a casual evening. Lots of unique and crazy weapons. Everything is overpowered, destructible stage, you feel every shot! The controls are smooth and responsive. A large variety of maps and objects. You can carry a lot of weapons at once. Melee and ranged. Has a matchmaking system, it is best to find teammates on Discord. Reminding of the 2010s games on Kongregate and ArmorGames if you played fun flash shooters back then. Except this one is fleshed out properly. Definitely recommend this if you have friends or family to play with!

Been part of the community and playing the the game since the open beta. I can't think of any other platformer with physics quite like this. There is alot of items and abilities to learn, but that's only if you want to be the best and pull off intense combos, like teleporting behind someone, freezing them in ice and then smashing them into mush with a rocket hammer. Most times you can just throw chaos in the direction of your opponents, focus on surviving yourself, and cause a Final Destination chain of events that'll be their problem to deal with. Always a good laugh. Been playing on the open beta for a while, the devs put alot of effort into optimizing it for Remote play. It's smooth enough now that I often forget it's RP.
An absolute blast of a game. Galactic Thunderdome is a great PvP party-brawler style game and one that evokes warm childhood memories of playing games akin to Smash Bros. The controls are smooth and one does feel like they are actually moving a character floating in a low-gravity like environment, which leads to a nice sense of immersion. The character selection is solid with a nice variety of playable characters, meaning that each PvP experience is different. The tutorial is extremely well set up; it provides a great breakdown of the controls and allows you to practice said controls at your own pace, which is a breath of fresh air compared to many games released today where the tutorials are rushed or nonexistent. In a single player experience, the flow of each level is great and the game is challenging while also reasonably forgiving, which is a great combination to have. There is also a fun variety of ways in which you can take down an opponent or you, yourself, could die, leading to some hilarious moments. Overall, it's a great game that was clearly crafted with care and attention. I can see it easily becoming a big hit as a fun and entertaining PvP party-brawler between friends, and I appreciate that there is still an equal amount of care placed on the single-player experience as well. And this is all coming from someone who doesn't often play that many PvP party-brawler style games. I absolutely recommend this game; it's fun and well designed and I look forward to seeing any potential updates that the devs put out (maybe custom maps?). I'm excited to play it even more with my friends!
Great and really fun game. It reminds me of Worms and Soldat which are games i used to play on my old pc. There are many things well done for this particular kind of game, tons of maps, gamemodes and weapons of various type to keep it fresh. One thing i would suggest is that it would be really cool to have an option to display the various actions cooldowns over your character's head as mini icons or something similar, kind of like risk of rain returns.
A fun and chaotic experience. The polish and attention to detail is second to none and the energy is high. It takes a minute to get used to the controls but when you do, you just start blasting. I'd recommend playing with friends but you may lose some in the process.
Crazy fun party game, love to see what the team has done with this game. The destructible environments are cool, physics engine is responsive and interesting, it has some real wide weapon variety, great controller support. There's a lot to love about this game, can't wait to see what the devs have in store for the future. Would love to see this at tournaments at PAX East or other events, feels like a super fun alternative to Brawlhalla and such.
Having been involved since the early development stages, it's incredible to see how Galactic Thunderdome has evolved into such a polished masterpiece. This physics-based 2D brawler captures everything I love about classic multiplayer games while adding its own unique twist that keeps me coming back for more. The physics engine is absolutely phenomenal - every impact feels weighty and satisfying, whether you're sending opponents flying with a well-timed rocket or watching them get crushed by falling debris. The destructible environments add an extra layer of chaos and strategy that makes every match unpredictable. One moment you're trading shots across the map, the next you're watching in slow-motion as your friend gets launched into a spinning blade of death - pure poetry in motion! The weapon variety is mind-blowing, from traditional guns to more creative options like beehives and leaf blowers. Each one feels distinct and powerful in its own way, leading to endless possibilities for combat scenarios. The character abilities add another strategic layer - the Time Snap ability is particularly satisfying when you pull off the perfect play. Controls are buttery smooth on both keyboard/mouse and controller, though I personally prefer controller for that classic couch gaming feel. While it takes a few matches to get comfortable with the movement system, once it clicks, you'll be jet-dashing and wall-jumping with precision. The amount of content is impressive - tons of maps, multiple game modes (deathmatch, co-op, gauntlet), and a well-designed tutorial that actually teaches you the mechanics properly. The single-player content is solid, but this game truly shines in multiplayer, especially with friends. I'm excited to see what's next for Galactic Thunderdome. The developers have shown they really care about the community's feedback, and I'm hoping for even more weapons, maps, and maybe even custom map support down the line. This game deserves to be at gaming tournaments alongside titles like Brawlhalla - it has that perfect mix of accessibility and skill ceiling that makes for an excellent competitive game. Just be warned - you might lose a few friendships along the way to some particularly devastating environmental kills!
Incredibly fun party game. The physics are satisfying to use, learn, and continue to be baffled by. No major complaints, just one minor one and some suggestions. Omegabyte is pretty unfun to both use and fight. A second shield is a really bad mechanic to give a character. It usually just drags fights out or forces the players into a boring situation. The character should be reworked into literally any other ability. Someone with the ability to send out clones/illusions would be really cool. For suggestions, I'd love to be able to make custom map playlists. all or nothing gets pretty stale, and being able to rotate between a few specific maps without having to go back into the menu every time would be great. Similarly, custom weapon whitelisting/blacklisting for maps would multiply replayability exponentially. Being able to use any weapon in any map, or limiting it to only a specific group, for example.
