Inspired by the party games Werewolf and Mafia, Town of Salem is a game of murder, mystery and deception.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you have ever wanted to experience paranoia, courtroom drama, and social deduction speed running in the same sitting… Town of Salem is that. And somehow it is still fun after hundreds of hours, which is either a compliment or a cry for help. What it is (useful summary) You load into a lobby, get a secret role, and immediately start lying to people you have never met like it is your job. Town tries to find and hang the bad guys. The bad guys try to delete Town while pretending to be helpful. Every match becomes a messy logic puzzle: reading tells, tracking claims, spotting contradictions, and occasionally winning by pure confidence and audacity. The best part is that it lets you play all styles. One game you are Sherlock. Next game you are a professional gaslighter with a clipboard. Pros Lying and fake claiming feels like a forbidden art form Reading chat tells and catching contradictions is absurdly satisfying Roles create constant “wait… WHAT?” moments Every lobby has a different vibe and meta Big brain plays are real, and so are hilarious accidental wins Time warper effect: you blink and your night is gone Cons Toxicity can be brutal, especially in public lobbies Griefers exist and they are allergic to fun People leaving because they did not get their favorite role is maddening Tips Keep notes. Track claims. Assume everyone is lying, including you. Final verdict Recommended. If you like social deduction, mind games, and chaotic chat powered strategy, you will have a blast. If you cannot handle people being loud, salty, or occasionally awful, bring friends or brace your soul. Also yes, I once ignited a Serial Killer and the Godfather the same night. That is not a game, that is a spiritual event.

fun game
This game is 12 years old and still, i am getting full lobbies. I revisited the game to give a full fair review and i am not surprised that i am having as much fun i did years ago when i played with my friends. If you're new to the game there might be a learning curve with roles and such but you will be putting your detective hat on in no time. Recommend this game if you're looking for a social deduction game which you can enjoy with friends or solo.
