Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 10 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Tormentum II is a dark, surreal point-and-click adventure with elements of psychological horror. Explore a hand-drawn world, solve puzzles, and make morally ambiguous choices that shape the fates of the characters you meet. It tells a new, standalone story, so no knowledge of the original game is required.

You play as David, who is building a simulation populated by beings capable of human-level thought. Every night, he dreams of a locked chest and hears a woman's voice calling to him. When an anonymous seller offers him a mysterious coprocessor, parts of the dream begin to surface while he is awake.
David installs the new hardware. He wakes in a prison on an island surrounded by open sea. Somehow, he is inside his own simulation.

David remembers little about how he arrived. He soon discovers that his creation contains layers he never designed and has a will he cannot control.
The inhabitants speak of gods, beings that come from distant places and disappear just as suddenly.
To find a way home, David must cross the islands, explore the unfamiliar layers of his creation, and discover why it no longer obeys him. Explore each location at your own pace. Conversations and puzzles gradually reveal more about the simulation.
Your choices shape the fates of the characters David meets. There is rarely an obvious right answer, and your decisions lead to multiple endings.
Point-and-click exploration and puzzles across multiple surreal islands.
Choices with consequences that shape the fates of the characters you meet and lead to multiple endings.
200 hand-drawn scenes. Dedicated close-ups bring the total to nearly 500 individual background images, roughly three times as many as in the original game.
Surreal art inspired by H. R. Giger's biomechanical forms and the desolate worlds painted by Zdzisław Beksiński.
6 to 9 hours of gameplay, depending on your pace.
A dark, atmospheric soundtrack with occasional heavier passages influenced by metal.
A complete, standalone story. No knowledge of the original game is required.

We spent almost eight years making Tormentum II. The core development team consists of two people: Piotr Ruszkowski and Łukasz Rutkowski, both of whom helped create the original Tormentum: Dark Sorrow.

(please do not look at the time on record - I played the beta version as a tester and translator) First of all, I am extremely happy that the sequel is release. I was waiting for it since the announcement, and it was the oldest game in my wishilist. I wanted it so bad so never removed it, even after waiting for several years without any news. It is incredible that the tiny studio managed to bring this product to the final state after all those years. Fantastic game. Even after multiple playthroughs I am still mesmerized by the visual and audio parts of Tormentum. On a gameplay and story sides the game also greatly improves on it's predecessor. The game is much longer and have a lot of different locations, decisions that you make are not that obviously "good/bad" and endings are not just "you did good" or "you are a bad person going to hell". Wishing the devs nothing but the best and will keep waiting for their new games.
Absolute banger and I hate point and click adventures. For whatever reason this has me following along to every word. Seriously, I think this game just gave me back my attentions span!
You follow David, an artist living in a futuristic world where technology has reached incredible heights, yet Earth itself has become barely habitable. Stepping outside without protective gear is a serious risk, forcing people to rely on masks and other precautions. To escape this harsh reality, David creates a simulated world inspired by the dreams that visit him every night. As his vision grows more ambitious, however, the simulation becomes so demanding that his current hardware can no longer keep up. Those dreams soon begin to feel unsettlingly real, bleeding into reality as mysterious voices urge David to wake up. Things take an even stranger turn when he attempts to repair an elevator, only for it to crash to the ground floor, seemingly killing him. He wakes up safely in his own bed, but everything around him has changed, as though the dream world has started replacing reality. David insists he is still dreaming, at least until he installs powerful new hardware purchased from a black market dealer. That finally allows him to enter the simulation completely, but something is wrong. His memories have been tampered with, leaving him unable to recognize the very world he created. The gameplay follows the modern point and click adventure formula. Instead of selecting different actions for every hotspot, each object has a default interaction triggered with the left mouse button. The cursor changes into an icon that tells you what action will be performed. To help with searching, there's also a handy button that highlights hotspots across the scene. It is useful, but you cannot depend on it entirely because it does not reveal every interactive element. Judging by the visuals alone, the artwork is easily the game's greatest strength. The world is grim, unsettling, and wonderfully grotesque, filled with twisted character designs and haunting environments. Some scenes can be disturbing, but they never cross the line into excess. Better yet, the game constantly introduces fresh sights, so every new location presents something you've never seen before. What impressed me most was the incredible attention to detail. Even areas you only visit once contain memorable visual touches that many games would save for their biggest set pieces. The cursor can change into several different icons depending on what you're looking at. An eye lets you examine an object and listen to David's comments, while a magnifying glass allows for a closer inspection. A speech bubble starts conversations, though these are completely scripted, so there are no dialogue choices or conversation topics to select. Characters are not voiced, with all dialogue presented through subtitles that you advance with a mouse click. At certain moments, the game presents you with decisions that influence how events unfold. These are clearly marked with large icons, so you'll always know when an important choice is coming. Sometimes the outcome is simply a different scene, while other decisions can determine a character's fate. At one point, for example, you can send a gigantic worm charging through a tunnel. Before doing so, you have the option to warn another character to move out of the way. Ignore the warning, and the poor creature is slaughtered. Later, this same character can lead to the death of someone else. Thankfully, there are no choices that can leave you unable to finish the game. If you're curious about the different outcomes, multiple save slots make it easy to revisit those moments without replaying everything. Other cursor icons indicate movement and interaction. A door or footprint icon lets you travel between scenes, while a hand means you can use or manipulate something directly. During close up interactions, the hand can sometimes trigger more involved actions, such as clicking and dragging an object, although a simple click is usually enough. One small feature I really appreciated is that close up scenes stop being interactive once you've solved them. The cursor no longer changes over completed objects, making it immediately clear that you've done everything there. These close ups are also often the places where inventory items need to be used. One unique aspect of the game is that David never walks around the environment. Instead, he remains fixed in place while interacting with everything visible on the screen. The locations are slightly larger than your monitor, so moving the cursor near the edges gently pans the camera to reveal more of the scene. Fortunately, the important objects are almost always positioned near the center, so the game never feels unfair by hiding crucial hotspots at the far edges. Collected items are stored in your inventory, and selecting one attaches it directly to your cursor so you can immediately try it on nearby hotspots. Failed combinations do not automatically deselect the item, which makes experimenting quick since you never have to walk across the screen. Unfortunately, unsuccessful attempts never provide useful feedback. Most of the time you'll simply hear familiar responses like "That won't work" or "That's not a good idea." To put an item away, simply click anywhere that is not an interactive hotspot. Progress comes from both inventory management and puzzle solving. You'll encounter challenges involving button sequences, ingredient mixing, lever mechanisms, code locks, rotating mirrors to guide a beam, and plenty more. Some puzzles explain themselves clearly, while others require you to discover clues hidden throughout the world. Important notes are recorded in David's notebook as you find them, although it does not document everything. You'll still need to pay close attention to your surroundings and carefully read what you discover. Although the game begins in a fairly confined setting, it soon opens up. After leaving the first location, you obtain a map that unlocks several destinations, all accessible through a compass icon. You'll travel back and forth between these areas as puzzles and inventory items connect different locations. Despite the bizarre nature of the world, the puzzle design follows a consistent internal logic, so progress rarely feels random. As with completed hotspots, locations eventually become inaccessible once you've finished everything there. In conclusion, this is an excellent addition to the genre and easily one of the strongest point and click adventures released recently. While it is a sequel, the story stands on its own, so you don't need any knowledge of the original to enjoy it. It's a fairly lengthy adventure, but the engaging world, memorable visuals, and satisfying puzzles make the entire journey well worth your time.
Fantastic 2D surreal adventure, extremely dark plot and excellent art influenced by Giger and Beksinski, a masterpiece, 10/10.
