TORMENTOR

Madmind Studio appears to have shut down at least in terms of game development after the launch of this game which means the chances of any updates to fix this games many issues is most likely to never happen. I think if MadMind Studios had a Grave stone it would need to read "Cool Ideas, terrible execution" to best describe every game they have made. Succubus was perhaps their best and most complete product but sadly we are about 5ish games in with all the same problems carried over in each product. Despite this still being Unreal 4 the games still continue to not run well or even look good with very sluggish controls. Moving around the lair in Tormentor is painful due to how slow you are and the actual main feature of this game, being a evil torturer is very repetitive and unfulfilling within the games story and mechanics where its just press buttons to do a form of torture on characters that dont emote very well with questionable voice acting. Game is very buggy on top of poor performance with it very easy to get softlocked. Again when it comes to the game Cool Idea, terrible execution. There aren't many games where you get to be the bad guy and do bad guy things but there just isn't very much to keep you playing after the first hour as its just a repeat of everything. With Madmind now stepping down from game development I cannot recommend this game in its current state for its current price, anything more than £10 is criminal for the content on display. If Madmind does ever get back into game development they are going to need to make a new IP not set in the Agony universe with a completely different engine as every game they have put out has been riddled with problems and I dont think there is any good will left for this studio. I dont write this to be a hater or to jump on a bandwagon from people who feel tricked. I have followed Madmind for all of their games including the VR Succubus as they at least are a studio that is trying to be unique in what it produces, its just they never seem to be able to commit to one product at time and make it worthy of the price they ask for. I will not use the language of most others and call the devs scammers or liars but I dont think i can blame people for feeling that way due to the history.

Тож розвивати TORMENTOR чи хоча б виправляти баги, яких тут вистачає, просто нікому. Причому закрилися зі скандалами, інтригами та розслідуваннями. Власне, пам'ятаю перший трейлер, який був вкрай жорстоким. Концепція тут дійсно інтригує: ми граємо стрімером. Що, не цікаво? Але уточню, цей стрімер- потворний маніяк-вбивця, який облаштував власну в'язницю. Геймплей будується на тому, що ви ловите жертв, кастомізуєте свої підземелля, розставляєте пастки та катуєте людей на камеру заради лайків, коментарів та донатів. І тут цікавий факт для кіноманів, її зіграла (подарувала зовнішність та голос) Шоуні Сміт та сама Аманда Янг із серії фільмів "Пила" (зокрема Пила 3). Madmind спеціально залучили її, щоб додати грі автентичної атмосфери слешерів. Пам'ятаєте її? Ні? Бо саму ідею очевидно не доробили, геймплейний цикл приїдається, і рутина бере своє. Насправді мені подобаються їхні епатажні проєкти, які свого часу постійно воювали зі Steam за цензуру. Я про SUCCUBUS, PARANOID, Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict та Agony UNRATED. Окрім того, сама студія притримувалась проукраїнської позиції. Тому, попри всі технічні недоліки та скандали, я поставлю цій грі позитивний огляд так би мовити, останнє привітання розробникам. Ну і як додатковий факт, Madmind Studio розпалася, але хитрий засновник просто відхрестився від неї, щоб списати борги) А фактично перевів діяльність на іншу свою компанію Silent Lamb Studio, яка зараз розробляє гру про жорстоку русалку. Але вона буде одягнута, та й вбивати вона буде не людей, а риб. Тобто вирішили розробники не гратися із епатажем. Не знаю, чи вийде щось у них. I feel like I'm owed the "Fell for it again" award because holy hell did I get railed in the ass AGAIN over an "indie" game that seemed pretty cool and it turned out to be a ♥♥♥♥ in my poor hole in the worst way possible. This was billed and, years ago, shown to be a sandbox type game where you get money for performing torture and inflicting pain on hapless tards for some sick dark web site, sounds edgy and cool right? Well think again bucko, because I only got through 3 hours and it felt like 20 hours with how torturously tedious the controls, the mechanics, and the UI are. The "combat" if you can call it that is basically Rockem Sockem Robots on Thorazine. ♥♥♥♥ right off. The story is there, but frankly you're not going to care in the slightest. I couldn't even recall what it was about beyond some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a 3D printed mask verbally abusing me for no real reason, beyond the fact that he didn't get his daily dose of badly animated gore porn. Just don't bother with this. I'd rather smash out a window and rake my neck along the broken glass and bleed out down the side of a house than blow another 30 dollars on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. EDIT: If you think waiting for updates and patches would be a good idea, THINK AGAIN. They cut support 1 whole month after it came out because they ran out of crack money, so they're gonna be making games under a different company name. I just love getting fisted like this, don't you?

Разработчики забросили данный проект, оставив кучу багов и плохую оптимизацию, а поэтому патчей ждать не стоит, ровно как и новый контент, по этой причине я всё же не могу рекомендовать сей шедевр

К сожалению сильно разочаровался в данном проекте. Слабая оптимизация (как и во всех играх от этой студии), сюжет полная лажа, высосанная из пальца, про перевод на русский язык вообще молчу (видно, что делали через гугл переводчик, да и то не всю игру. Под конец сюжета там всё на английском). Сексуальный контент разработчики отказались добавлять, что довольно странно, учитывая что он есть во всех играх от данной студии. Саму игру обновляли всего пару раз, потом её просто некому стало обновлять. Деревянные боевые анимации (после игры Succubus с почти идеальной боевой системой это ПОЗОР и халтура !!!). Мало анимаций на пытки и взаимодействия с окружением, можно было бы ещё добавить... Контент для взрослых патч Unrated, который можно скачать только с официального сайта (в стиме его скорее всего просто не пропустили). Из плюсов только то, что сама идея для игры очень необычная, но реализация очень и очень слабая... Разнообразие костюмов сильно порадовало, особенно из латекса...))) Возможность переоборудовать своё логово, как было в той же Succubus... Как выясняется, студия недавно обанкротилась и распалась, что не удивительно. Обновлений скорее всего ждать не стоит, точно также, как и новых игр от студии...
