Too Well Hidden

I'd have to play this one again off stream and figure some things out. The story wasn't explained well at the start and some of the story line took too long to learn. There were some instructions that were not explained well at all and it led to me being confused on what to do next. There was also a point where it brought me to the main menu to continue and I did not understand why. The game has potential and I'm willing to give it another try.

The atmosphere is excellent from the start, and the VHS presentation does a lot of heavy lifting without ever feeling like a gimmick. The grain, camera movement, lighting, and overall visual style make the house feel genuinely uncomfortable to explore. What I liked most is how original the central idea feels. Taking something as simple as hide-and-seek and turning it into a slow, tense horror experience works incredibly well. The game understands that you do not always need constant jumpscares to be scary—the anticipation of finding something is often worse than actually finding it. It is short, but focused, atmospheric, and genuinely unsettling. One of the stronger indie horror games I have played recently. This is a game not too different from many other “walking simulations” out there, but what makes it different makes it better than most. First, great storytelling even though there isn’t much story. A lot is discovered and that keeps it interesting. Second, decent “puzzles”. Not exactly 7th guest. But you do have so thinking here.
