20 hours of playtime. All achievements unlocked. All characters unlocked and played. All of this, and i was never bored a single second. Yes, this is a FTP game. Yes, it is a VERY early build. But that shouldn't stop you from enjoying this great playable proof of concept! Sure there are shortcomings. Some powers like CDR i've never picked up. The same weapons and the same skills. But again, its so Early in its development is that really enough to say its bad?

I do not recommend playing this boring game but I respect the devs' effort for completing a project. For a rouge-like that basically finished showing what content it got within the first 3 minutes or the first run, yet requires at least 2 runs / 30 minutes to unlock something new is bad. At least the game runs well and control is smooth, doubling the content and I will be willing to pay the price of maybe a cup of coffee.

im high off them magic shrooms right now
"Too Shroom!" is a simple hybrid third person brawler and part ripoff of Vampire Survivors (copyright Poncle, 2023). You play a game of repetitive, one-dimensional combat against progressively harder waves of enemies. The story is about defending a peaceful land from a relentless invasion of shrooms. The gameplay is shallow, focusing on quickly acquiring and swapping upgrades, with no significant depth or variation. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless enemy waves, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Really fun game, love the combat. I have a few bits of criticism but I overall love it. -the weapons all feel the same so i don't have a reason to switch (maybe have you choose at the beginning instead of randomly auto switching to the same weapon with slightly different stats. -would love new enemies -I love the affix idea but would love if it was more pronounce/hads a visual indicator idk just a few ideas love the game
Superfun! It seems to be growing on me, like moss on a shroom. Keep updating! this is so additive
The game is ok, for like an hour or smt, it gets boring pretty quickly, same abilities, few buffs, the mechanics is surprisingly smooth, but other than that nothing really creative. yet i think there is potential in this game, maybe a few versions later and u'll play it for like 20 hours or smt
