Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro
🎃 Tя!cked not Tяeated 🎃 $9.99 needs to be alot more work done here to justify this price❗ Video AD for this kinda does look BAD A$$. Dungeon Crawler with some parkour elements. BUT it DOES NOT WORK controls/movement/everything is broken, NOPE!
Games Broken and far from ready to be played, the buttons are all wrong for the Vive. Reloading is a challenge, the usual boring skeleton enemies, swing a sword like a giant dong and not sure if hitting or not much like a virgin having sex for the first time. Movement is good, the arm swinging loco which I like and also you have a body which is a nice touch, pity it feels like I'm walking on a slope every time I look down. Ideas there but I'm guessing a first-time developer and it's far from ready. Some ideas, get rid of the hit counter on the skeletons, remap the buttons for the vive. Fix the harness it all seems off, reloading is a nightmare just make it simple for a game like this. Push button or point down to reload, gun sits about 20cm off the hand, either get rid of the hands or make this better. Add better hit points and sounds and some feedback when using the sword fighting enemies. Make your game less complicated and stop aiming for all the other coming soon options and just get this working. I would suggest making it similar to compound, simple but fun. ATM it's neither of those and at $10 seems a ripoff for what it is.

Quite honestly: this needs a ton of work. What with the pistol clipping in hands so I can't tell if a magazine is loaded, controller mapping seems strange, bullethole decals appearing in mid-air around skeletons, locomotion using arms seems kind of funky (only one arm seemed to actually control movement). I just didn't get a good impression. I didn't bother going past the traps because I couldn't move in a reliable manner. I lost my sword on the ground and wasn't able to pick it back up, though I managed to pick my pistol back up. Hit feedback on skeletons is kind of delayed, and the only reason why I didn't die on spawn is because they got stuck coming through the doorway. I'm inclined to give it another shot, but I don't think my review will change with additional time. I don't think this game is ready to be sold as a complete game, and despite the lack of "early access" on the store page I do hope they try to work some of this out. I think with a lot of work (and I mean a lot) this could become interesting. I'd be willing to look at it again in the future and reassess it, but as it stands, as a person looking for a game to play: I'd pass this up and buy something else. Don't get me wrong, this game is fundamentally unplayable. Textures hang in the air and can physically block your shots, you will lose the ability to reload your weapons, your character will casually waltz off ledges in ways that are unfair and infuriating, levels are repetitive and endless, essential mechanics go completely unexplained...but I keep coming back to it. I keep showing it to my friends. Even the name, "Tombo Breaker?" It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. I also got it for free, though. Please don't spend any money on this grand monstrosity.
another vr game with terrible controls even the reloading and picking things up is confusing
Evenm looking a tother reviews having short in game time im not surprised, i really dig the concept a vr randomised tomb raider but these mechanics really need to be improved infact this shouldnt even be released yet with how bad everything can get, and also fix those controls or have a better tutorial most people tend to complain when they cant work the game and how do you expect them to go to the tutorial when it doesnt even tell you how to move...but guess where it tells you...THE TUTORIAL Honestly buy the game if you really want cus the idea is cool but unless its like £2 on a sale or something I'll try this again down the line but please make it atleast make the general mechanics work at a DECENT level, shame i was hoping to really enjoy this
This game should be considered an Early Access title because it is clearly unfinished and in a very unpolished state. It needs a lot of work, and while there isn't much competition in the genre for VR parkour, it's just not as enjoyable as it should be. The biggest problem: combat. You don't feel threatened by enemies. You don't have to dodge attacks. You also don't have intuitive controls for grabbing the sword or reloading the gun. The controls in general are just poorly implemented with really terrible design decisions. Bad controls make combat less immersive, and honestly, it's just dull and uninteresting. The parkour elements are also affected negatively by bad control scheme decisions. I want to use my grip buttons to grab things, but for some reason, I have to use the triggers. This feels very unintuitive on a Vive wand. The walking mechanic is OK, but I would prefer something similar to Stand Out's "Fit Run" mode that optionally utilizes the trackpad. I like that the developer is adding to and refining the visuals with a full body IK model and more original art. I appreciate the effort in that way that I think the game should be progressing more quickly to have more eye candy sooner. That's something I'd overlook if the game wasn't marketed as a finished product. Overall, the game is overpriced, but I think there are some redeemable qualities to this game. If the developer can just refine it to make it a more intuitive and polished experience, I would recommend it, but for now, it's just not worth your time nor money. Look at its competition, however, and you'll see there aren't a lot of games like it yet.
