This is an amazing precision platformer. It's challenging but doesn't troll you, it has fantastic level design and it has a great soundtrack. It's also really good value for money. I'm currently 5 hours and 30% of the way through so there's at least 15 hours worth of playtime. This one is definitely worth picking up!
(Written by primary musician.) Toleo has been designed and polished to put skill and learned intuition before gimmicks and tropes. This is a game which can be picked up casually, but taken seriously. Lovers of precision and pure platforming can look forward to Toleo's wide array of levels, which comprehensively explore the full gamut of Toleo's movement. The way Toleo moves feels good, the recovery speed to restart your attempt is quick, and the worlds hit a Goldilocks zone of detail, where it's effortless to keep your eyes on what's important, but the scenery never feels dull. Toleo is an outstanding debut for Pale Blue Studios, and it has been a pleasure to furnish these worlds and this experience with sound. This is a game that plays like a game.

Slide, Jump, Die, Repeat. I had a lot of fun with this. A lot of sections looks absolutely impossible at the start, but then you start figuring it out and start seeing the flow, and then finally nailing it feels super satisfying.
Amazing game for fans of hardcore platformers. You'll really see how you can take a simple moveset and explore it to the max. You'll be tasked with using it in every way possible, and the dev has been very imaginative in the level design to really achieve this. I enjoyed how the difficulty of the game worked too. Rather than level 1-1 being boringly easy and it gets harder and harder until the last few worlds are a slog, you get peaks and valleys, which help the pacing and let you breath. This did mean that when I hit a difficulty spike in world 2 I got super worried, thinking it would only get harder, but thankfully that's not the case. The visuals are fun and suit the game well and I loved the music.
This game is just a PURE platformer. Tough but won't have you pulling out your hair. If you like games like LOVE, I would give this a shot!
This platformer is a lot of fun to play, with responsive controls that make it easy to navigate the levels. The jump puzzles can be challenging, but they're also rewarding when you finally solve them. The music is fantastic and the sound design really fits the game. I would definitely recommend picking this game up! Your face is GUARANTEED to eat spikes! --- Normal Mode: 3137 Deaths - 10:49:49 (played on Itch.io release) w/kahntroller --- Is still good gaem
It's a simple, but difficult platformer with excellent movement. I became a pink birdboy and died many times. 10/10 would suffer again.
Not the biggest fan of the genre, I don't have the patience to do the same jump over and over again, but this is clearly a well made game with a lot of love put into it. What I tested of it, the controls felt great and the art style is nice. I've seen multiple others play the game and have a blast, and see no reason why others wouldn't as well.
A simple, fun, and brutal precision platformer. The controls are easy enough that they can be picked up in minutes, the soundtrack and sound design are outstanding and far better than they need to be, and the level design is equal parts evil and genius. If you like simple, well-made games and aren't afraid of a challenge then you probably already own this.
I completed Toleo, after 5,886 deaths and nearly 23 hours. It feels great to play. The character is responsive, the movement feels so smooth. Jumping and sliding just feel innately satisfying. For a game with only 2 buttons plus directions, I'm surprised that even at the very end I would still ask "how do I do this jump?" Because even in its simplicity, there is so much to master, there are so many jumping puzzles that require thought and experimentation. I think a great precision platformer will have you feel like every death was your own fault, not the game's, and for the most part, that is the case. Every now and then you hit a checkpoint where your main hurdle is the RNG of an enemy - "I would have made that jump if that enemy wasn't there!" Well, you'll have to learn to get back to that spot consistently, and hope luck's on your side next time. I'm someone who usually uninstalls games at the first hurdle, but with Toleo I never even considered stopping. It *makes* you want to beat it. It's just fun to play. Even now I'm looking at more games like this to play next, because I want more. How many games do that?
