About

Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all the way from the very beginning... but only in their patients' heads.

Due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath. Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t.
This particular story follows their attempt to fulfill the dream of an elderly man, Johnny.

With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a life time, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is.
And Johnny's last wish is, of course... to go to the moon.

This game brought back quite similar feelings when I watched the Clannad anime, and the overall theme/vibe of time (memory) travel reminded me of Steins;Gate.
真是一个美好的梦,晚安
To be honest, I couldn't bring myself to appreciate this story. Among its central figures, those who endured the heaviest tragedies—facing devastating loss or spending an entire lifetime in heartbreak, misunderstanding, and futile devotion—are ultimately brushed aside. Ironically, the character who
suffered the least receives the grandest consolation and reward, while the true victims are subjected to a secondary layer of harm.
What makes those tragic figures deeply moving in the first place is the raw authenticity of their real-world pain,
their quiet sacrifices, and their unwavering fidelity despite profound isolation. Yet, the story handles their grief with a frustrating lightness, completely erasing their lived realities just to manufacture a romanticized, artificial bubble for someone else.
In the end, it
offers no genuine truth, justice, or transcendent redemption—only a flippant illusion that trivializes real suffering.
