Titans of Space PLUS

When I loaded this up I'd just bought a handful of games from Steam and one from Oculus' own store (Discover Space 2 - I would have bought that from within Steam but although it advertises it, you can't actually buy it anymore). I'd only just played/experienced Discover Space 2 and had been utterly blown away by it. So upon loading up Titans I wasn't initially impressed due to the graphics in comparison. I was thinking of a refund in the first few minutes. But upon hitting 5 mins or less into Titans I was suddenly drawn in and realised what the program was trying successfully to convey. This is an amazing piece of software especially if you are interested in astronomy. I will keep this now and return to it. The whole point of this game is to convey the sense of scale of our galaxy and in that it completely succeeds. I recommend this as an unforgettable educational experience.

To the person/people who made this: This experience was nothing short of mind-blowing. At the start, seeing earth as a small ball, with the moon orbiting it and the massive sun next to it, I was in awe. Then, travelling to neptune, saturn, uranus etc. was just incredible. But going over to the insanely massive blue and red giants, was an oddly terrifying and bizarre experience. This ''game'' shows you just how utterly small we are in this ever-expanding universe. This experience was honestly more horrifying than many horror games I played, but in a good way. Seeing how small we are and how we are surrounded by these monsterous beasts just leaves me filled with awe anytime I think of it. 10/10, incredible job!

Overall a really nice VR experience and I'd recommend it to anyone who is a fan of space. Easily my favorite part is the truly big stars at the end, though it was a bit disappointing that they don't have UY Scuti and I'd honestly love to see at least double the amount of larger stars, along with some actual commentary since these are just as interesting (more so in some regards) than the planets in the solar system. I also wish you could compare the stars next to planets instead of just planets/moons next to one another. But as it is, this probably should have been named Solar System Plus or something since for the most part it does only focus on our solar system, only including a few large stars as a sort of extra to just show some perspective on scale. Maybe we can get a Titans of Space 2 that focuses on things such as the truly massive stars, nebulae, different star types, etc. I know I had a few complaints above but those are really just a wish list. This is still just a breathtaking experience and is a must buy for those interested in space and honestly, just to be able to show off the scale of planets and stars. And if you start the tour at the Sun it only takes a few minutes to fly by the stars section, which is a great way to show off VR quickly to non-gamers and leave them in awe. Seriously though, pick this up, it's just a truly fascinating VR experience.

well done! visual fun that's entertaining and educational. 10 8 2022 finally bought an oculus rift s, and let me tell you this software is highly more entertaining and fun with vr. excellent learning software and darn fun! wish they would update it with the most recent scientific discoveries!

Aplicación en VR absolutamente recomendable para conocer con detalle nuestro sistema solar, en mi opinión la mejor de todas en el sentido didáctico. El manejo es muy sencillo al menos con Rift S y además todos los textos están traducidos al castellano, por lo que puedes seguir al ritmo que te quieras marcar las explicaciones de cada uno de los planetas. Uso mucho la aplicación Space Engine también en VR y ésta me parece sencillamente el complemento ideal, porque aquí como digo te enteras perfectamente de los entresijos de cada planeta, y cuando navegas por el universo en la otra entiendes a donde quieres ir ... Es muy impresionante ver la galaxia a escala gigante en Space Engine pero antes yo por lo menos no me enteraba de la misa a la mitad ... Sin duda más que satisfecho con mi compra, y sin duda se la recomiendo a cualquier amante de la astronomía.

This isn't a game. It's a tour of the solar system and it is AWESOME! Well worth the $10 price tag if you're a space geek/nerd and have a PCVR headset.

Thank you very much for this. The reason I got into VR originally was because I tried out the Oculus Rift Kickstarter. Titans of Space was a free demo that I wanted everyone to try out. Looks like even more content and polish has been put into it since then. Carl Sagan would have approved.
