Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.57/day in the week to Aug 7 → 9.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A calm and cozy game with an excellent puzzle element. Decorating your store to optimize sales and trying to recommend just the right book based on the sometimes contradictory requests of guests gives this game just enough strategy to keep you engaged with its stress free world.
This is a nearly perfect game to me; I never replay games but I have already done two playthroughs. It is a story-driven light management simulation. While many say the main gameplay loop is stocking books and recommending them, I actually think equally important are the mechanics of decoration, choosing locations to visit in the game, and light exploration at the locations. Also, I enjoy the recommendation mechanic, because it truly is often the case in real life that someone describes what kind of books they like, and you think you have the perfect book for them, but they end up not liking it even though it seemed to match their criteria. That being said, you can use decorations to minimize requests for recommendations if you get frustrated with rejected recs or disagree with the game’s book categorization. I love to read, so I really appreciate that they use real books in this game, and I actually got recommendations for myself from looking through my in game bookshelves. Overall, this is a sweet and engaging love letter to books, bookshops, and community.

(Recommending with caveats). This game is cozy and relaxing, as many others have stated. So, if you're looking for a game that is quiet and comforting - if however a bit dull, this fits the bill. I found it however quite repetitive, and the challenges take forever to complete, as you have to go back repeatedly to specific locations, while also managing other requests. This seemingly makes it nearly impossible to complete them all within one year (and I had zero desire to play this that long). The interface I found a bit frustrating as the items are sortable, but not necessarily in very intuitive ways and require you to leave the list to change your filters every time. There were also no long-running statistics on book sales linked to locations, which meant I had to handwrite my own notes to really figure out what made sense to stock where. My ultimate gripe is that the storylines are so slow and three seasons into the game, I still don't really know what the plot is or what I am truly trying to accomplish (aside from random side quests from charaters). It fine? I like the book recommendation mechanic, even if it's very frustrating as very often you feel like you're perfectly fulfilling a request only to be told no.
Makes me want to read!
très sympas contre les crises d'angoisse
I love that it has a slow pace. Very cozy gane,
Supermysigt och lugnt spel
Fun, chill....would recommend
so far this game is absolutely adorable. i'm loving the details i'm loving the story. the fact that pretty much every book you can sell is real makes it feel pretty augmented and i love how bookstonbury has its own books and writers :D idk why people were throwing positive messages into the fire (at least in the english translations) it made me feel a little sad lowkey even though it seemed like a misunderstanding. also... it seems klaus is trying to be sebastian and its... not working. (in my opinion) a lot of the book descriptions have me cackling too!!
