Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.57/day in the week to Aug 7 → 9.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I totally fell in love with this game!! I just love the cozy small town atmosphere, the gamestyle, the fact that when you play long enough the characters get to know you and make you part of their community. Couldn't recommend this enough + if you like books (and I know you do) you'll get a chuckle or two from some of the book descriptions.

This game is cozy and fun to play! I'd recommend Tiny Bookshop to any book lover out there!
Let's address the elephant in the room: This game is made for book lovers. If you don't like reading, pass! So what is it about? You come to a new coastal town and open up your tiny book shop. Every day you prepare the books you try to sell, then hope for the best to make some income. With the money you earn, you improve your tiny shop (which stays tiny over the entire game) and fulfil some "quests" from the "story line" with the other villagers. The game is meant to be cosy. There are some "timing actions" but most of the time you watch people coming to your store, buying some books or initiating a little talk to you. This follows the typical NPC-Quest-structure. Everyone you meet has a little issue you can help them with - usually in the form of suggesting a new book to them. And this is actually the most fun (but also most frustrating) part of the game. Every day a hand full of people comes but not simply buys a book but has a request for you. This usually looks like "I want a fantasy book like X, but not too complex." So how do you solve this? The great thing is, you actually have real books in your store. So you take a look at what you have and suggest the one you expect might fit. You can always read a little summary of the book but this really gets better if you actually read those books. Otherwise you won't really enjoy it. That being said, these recommendations sometimes come a bit messy. There was just a guy who wanted "fantasy short stories for young people"and I suggested "The Star Diaries" with Ijon Tichy which was furiously rejected because these are not short stories. Well, in a real world I would have asked again or clarified but it was obviously not matching. And there are a few of these odd matches up to the situation when you read comments like "Ah, introduction to physics from 1908. I enjoyed the book more than the movie". Ehm, I guess that was a generic monologue but with that book it felt a bit odd. On the good side, since this is a German game studio, the books are also selected for each region. So if you play in German you will find "Loriots gesammelte Werke" or "Darm mit Charme" which certainly would not really fit to the English audience. So you might want to play the game in the language you read the most books (including classics from school or theater plays). The story line itself does not really feel too compelling to me. Basically every character has a rough set of problems you can assist with. But there is basically no interaction other than picking the right book. Say the musician comes to your store, telling you about his lack of inspiration. You then give him what might fit. He thanks and moves on, just to come back later the same week, complimenting you for your help. Still, this gives an additional layer of depth, since the original game look is not super thrilling. With the money you earn you can upgrade your tiny store. Buying plants or decorations that give you a bonus for selling books. The game obviously wants you to switch. E.g. in fall you have a lot of Halloween decoration. But honestly it did not feel that rewarding so I set it to the "one shop fits all occasions" style and went with it. Still, if you enjoy interior decoration you might have a bit of fun with this. Just keep in mind that this is not The Sims. You have that tiny "car" and that's all you have. One tiny aspect should be noted, too and I guess this comes from the governmental funding. The game is trying to "lecture" a bit. Beginning from getting the pronouns presented for everyone, over having quite some diverse visitors of all colors or in wheel chairs up to having the option to collect garbage and recycle at the places where you sell your books. To me this is not really an issue, but if you are easily annoyed by this, be advised. Still, it is not at a level that influences the gameplay in any way. So is this a good game? Well, it is small and special. If you want something relaxing, casual and like books, that is your game. Otherwise, if you want a complex management simulation or bigger influence on market or decoration or even a bigger story line, this won't be for you.
Really cute and cozy game. I like that it distracts me from my every day life. As a fellow book nerd, I love that you can get real-life recommendations as you run the book store.
