Tides of Despair

I have been playing only a few hours and it has been fun. A few funny glitches: I threw a spear at a rabbit; both the spear and the rabbit flew into the air and continued into outer space, lost forever. I have been able to defend myself from boars and skeletons with a wooden spear. I have been able to take down other rabbits - without losing both-and deer. Wish I could keep the bones when I kill a skeleton... The only reason I quit playing for now is that sometimes when I try to get into the raft, I end up in the underground unable to swim up or out. Stuck. When chopping down trees, some items also fall down underground into abyss - (I see the highlighted items way down deep, but inaccessible. Minor glitches. The fun surpasses the glitches. My world for a saw...

I am enjoying the game so far. Haven't played much of it, but I am a fan of survival games in general. For me personally, what would make it better would be more stuff like the heat of the sun effecting the player, the ability to craft, repair and alter clothing and/or armour if needed against the heat or attack, rashes and sunburn to worry about, stuff like that. Just some more realistic survival elements to think about with regards to the environment itself. Maybe more realism with the animals and vegetation too. I hope the developer makes it into a more fully developed island sandbox survival type game as this could have lots of potential on its own, much like Stranded deep. Or at least, if they are going to make a story out of it, keep the sandbox mode available separately too :)

Game is still in EA so its lacking content, the save game feature is inconvenient you can only save on the main island and if you go to another island and you have to shut down computer in a hurry your going to go all the way back to save. Raft is slow and every time you use it have to turn it around. Couple times looking into containers i was launch into the water and it was gone? Yup shark bait really quick i just made full metal armor and when i re spawned apparently shark eat it. it took just under 10 hours to build and create every thing available in game. Oh and if you get poisoned be aware re spawning will not cure it you will die till cured by the medical crafting tab in main inventory screen took way too long to figure that out. going to take a break from game until updates are done.
