It may look silly if you give it a first look, but by playing the game, it's both challenging and fun to play. It's gameplay differs in styles as you progress, making it entertaining and encouraging you with the words: "What will happen next?" The game's music is also neat, and pleasant to hear in most of the tracks. Personal rating: 10/10 Both the game and the ost are worth the money.
When I first picked up Ticket I wasn't expecting much. in fact I was expecting a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ platformer that had no chance at being good or having any good redeming qualities but oh how I was SO wrong. Ticket is a beautiful, magical, fun game made by the wonderful genius magicdweedoo that has newest most spectacular innovation in audio-visual echantment. each level is filled with both the right amount of character and the right amount of challenge that even the most elitist johnny could play-through it and have no trouble enjoying it. not to mention all of the amazing and cool friends you make through out your journey that will have you drawing an entire hardrive of fan art of one character from just how amazing and fleshed out and loveable they are. In Ticket everyone can be a millionare, you can never be as rich in real life as you can be in the game world. Both in monitary, and spiritual terms. ever wonder what it would be like to walk on the ceiling? Gravity reversed? Fish with legs? or how about owning your own horse with a personality more extatic and echantingly realistic than any class clown or surf shop enployee. Ticket also has a soundtrack packaged with exotic gems that is worth buying 10 times. what more do I have to say? this game is a true piece of modern art. go buy it and playthrough it until you can speedrun it more than 700 times. MOVE WITH SHOE. LIVE WITH SHOE. BREATH WITH SHOE. BE. SHOE.

I made my mark on a world that was ever so crumbling around me. Very strange small game. Had a disproportionately large impact on me, and I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. If you want to kill a few hours in the most bizarre way possible, and be confused at how much you enjoyed an objectively questionable game, then you should play Ticket.
Ticket is the product that challenges your preconceived notions of what games are about. It is certain that the so-called seriously taken game reviewers would not be able to give acclaim to this game, as it does not follow the conventional rules of high quality game design. This tells about the sad state of gaming industry rather than about Ticket though. If you are the person who thinks that good games follow strict rulesets of certain design-economic and mathematically measured criteria and are usually some sports titles followed by a running year number or the latest installment of a well-established series, then Ticket might not be for you. If you however are tired of being fleeced of your hard-earned cash time after time, buying the same, predictable and repeating products rebranded under different textures and slightly altered variations of the exact same formats, then your taste and vision of life might be starting to bloom, and Ticket might just be the thing that you are seeking. This product is not just your typical wacky and zany underground project developed by a group of friends as an accumulation of inside jokes which do not translate well to the outsider, leaving the player seeing how making the game has certainly been extremely funny for a group of people without any of that carrying over for the player who does not "belong". No. Ticket tells you a story which you will feel compelled to follow through your own perspective of understanding. It is exactly this way that Ticket takes anyone on a ride where they feel like they belong as an actor in the game world. You feel that you are part of the Ticket experience. This is not an easy feat to accomplish, since very many critic-praised game titles certainly fail in this aspect. So what really is Ticket? I feel like there is no real correct answer here. It would not be unlike a product that deliberately and insightfully conveys the same level of artistic expression that The Room the movie achieved by some sort of negligence and incompetence combined with superior levels of serendipity. This game understands that true art does not ask the viewer what they want, but instead becomes compelling to the audience by straight up putting the vision out there to be judged without any concessions. This is exactly where Ticket hands down beats every big-money game project; it is an unpredictable tale which treats the player like an actual thinking human being, instead of always trying to appeal to everyone by softening the edges whenever the most mentally fragile member of the audience so desires. There are only two pieces of critique that I personally feel could have somehow improved Ticket. The first one has to do with the design of certain levels, where the stage seems a bit convoluted and difficult to truly follow. The second one is that Ticket is not very variable through multiple playthroughs, but follows the same path quite linearly. I would not count these as negative points however, but more like neutral notions. The gratification of beating the difficult levels seems higher when it is at last achieved, and demanding more random elements to be incorporated into Ticket would be somewhat similar to complaining that a painted picture is not proper art because it stays still and thus is not dynamic enough. Do these points really matter for the game experience? Not really. (True Experience / 10).
Nice little fonky game. I wish Steam had more hidden indie games like this.
This game was a lot more popular in my head than it actually is. I remember when it came out, my friends and I would reference the trailer video all the time. The description doesn't lie, this game INNOVATES in the audio-visual enhancement department. I can't say that this is the best platformer ever made, but it's one I always love coming back to. I originally bought this game on itch, but bought it again on Steam because I just love it. There's no other game in the world that has a style quite like Ticket. It's charmingly primitive, very reminiscent of old Clickteam games, but never cliché, or low-effort feeling. It's raw, unfiltered, and really in it's own special category. The gameplay of Ticket consists of running and jumping around confusing levels, reading cryptically hilarious dialogue, and truly experiencing what it means to "play Ticket." Every level has it's own stupid mechanic you're going to begrudgingly accept. There is nearly 0 raw game design here; it's all art, it's all passion, it's all the real experience of being a game developer. And I genuinely love every single second of it. This is not a game for people who want to play another Super Mario Bros boring by-the-books platformer. This is a game for people who want to experience something new and ingeniously stupid. You will not be wow'd by clever mechanics, you will not be awestruck by 4k raytracing open world sandbox crafting menus. You will experience this game how God (magicdweedoo) intended. Ticket is purely the work of a madman that needed to get his ideas out in the world. It's games like this that make me feel like every artist should have the opportunity to make a game. The barrier to entry is too high, even in a post-drag-and-drop world. We need more games on earth like Ticket. If you aren't immediately sold on this game by the trailer and screenshots alone, then you will not appreciate how amazingly "Ticket" it really is.
I love games that look like this. I thought there was a lot of creativity in it and I was impressed by the level design even if at times it can be a little bit tedious. At times I was thinking it was akin to a puzzle platformer. I don't really like story in games anymore and there's a lot of text, but it's skip-able so no prob. story was absurd, which is funny and cool. I will likely play again to get some more achievements, but I don't think I'd 100% it. Overall I love it and I would like to see more games with this style. Looking forward to playing more magicdweedoo games.
