I just wanted to fool around with the silly card game I quite enjoyed in the Witcher 3, but 9/10 card events in this game are set up as puzzles, with fixed enemies, fixed card selections, and anal special rules that give you one singular solution for getting through any of it. Zero replay value, absolutely not what I wanted or expected.

Severly underrated addition to the Witcher series as a whole, I think if it were more advertised as something you can treat as simply an interractive story (given there is easy mode - where you can skip literally every single Gwent aspect and just dig into the roots of the story), that has optional hardcore Gwent components, it would work out a lot more. A favorite of mine as both a Witcher and Gwent fanatic who should've left a review sooner.
