Thrifty Business

Tengo que decir que estoy enganchadísima a este juego y no me lo esperaba, la verdad. Si eres fan de colocar cositas y te gustan juegos tipo Unpacking o Whisper of the House, este juego te va a encantar seguro. Te vas montando una tiendecita de segunda mano. Cada día compras cajas sorpresa y te pones a colocar objetos de muchos tipos (está lleno de referencias si te fijas bien en logos y demás). Entonces, tú te pones a comprar cajas todos los días, no te caben los objetos, compras más estanterías, colocas objetos, abres la tienda, mientras te compran cosas, tú vas poniendo más y más. Y así, INFINITAMENTE. La verdad es que este juego hace click en el loop de colocar objetos, y es que no puedes parar. Si es que me lo compré hace una semana y llevo 37 h XD. Además, también tiene personajes que te van contando su historia y vas descubriendolo día a día al venderles los objetos que necesitan. 100% te va a gustar si eres fan de colocar objetos ♥

Such a cozy, slow-paced game. I highly recommend if you enjoy taking your time with things and decorating! It runs very smoothly, as well, even on my low grade laptop!

Such a cute, cozy, wonderful little game that scratched an itch in my brain that I didn't even realize I had. I enjoyed discovering new items and experimenting with different ways to organize everything. The customer stories and events are sweet, and I like the options for the store decor. The character designs and overall art style are lovely, and the names of a lot of the in-game objects are clever or funny. I hope the developers continue to expand the game because the only thing I didn't especially like was having nothing else to do in it.

A lovely little game. This is less a management simulator and more of an easy-going decoration game where you happen to own a shop. It's not challenging and it's not supposed to be. Place your little trinkets on shelves, organize as much as you can, and every now and then help someone work through grief by selling them things or accepting their donations. Delivers on all its promises and doesn't overstay its welcome.

The game is very cute and colorful. I can tell a lot of care went into the design and gameplay. I love the design and how it's LGBTQIA+ friendly. The graphics are adorable and it's very pleasing to arrange all the items. I love that the shelves have a lot of space on them and you can fit a lot of stuff. The downside for me is that after playing for over 5 hours I feel like I've seen all there is to see and it's getting very repetitive. I keep getting many of the same items in the same colors over and over again. I think the game would benefit from having twice as many items and more variety. For example: I got 4 pairs of purple sunglasses before I ever saw another color or type of glasses (I eventually got one orange pair of sunglasses and one other type of glasses but that's it so far). Also the patrons will come in at the same time wearing the exact same clothes in the exact same colors. As for extra and repeat items, I would love to have a "sale" function where you can put items you want to get rid of on sale. I don't love that we have to buy most boxes but can't do any sort of trading, we just have to "recycle" the stuff we got too many of. I also think there could be more variety in styles of clothes. There are so many different toys but seemingly way less variety in clothes options. The patrons and my own character have cuter clothes than I have seen so far in the boxes (even if I think they could also use more variety). I want to buy more clothing boxes but most boxes seem to be half "stuff." I would also love bigger rooms instead of more rooms as the rooms are small and more could be done with them design wise if we had more space. Because we only see the rooms from one angle, if you want to put a tall shelf on the "south" side of the room it blocks the view of everything in front of it which limits the space you can decorate. I'm also new to steam so I am not great at playing with the keyboard and I really wish I could play this with my controller. Lastly, figured there would be more "life" to the game. Like that as the player I would have a home (maybe a room upstairs) that I could decorate. Even if it's just something simple, it would be cool to be able to buy an item or two from the store for yourself per day and decorate your attic room.
