Not bad to spend a few hours in, but then it gets very repetitive.
This is a pretty good trading sim... it feels a bit slow and grindy, but fun enough for the price.
A casual, buy-low sell-high game. Earn money and gain xp thru various activities to unlock more skills and areas of trade, upgrades, etc. The real fun and charm of this game is in the flavor text and dialog as you interact with events, build rapport with myriad NPCs, and engage in the story campaign of conspiracies and intrigue. Plus there's a doge.
I noticed other comments and I think I know why people complain about. It is a nice game. I like it. It is fun. But ... I played on normal dif and it was too easy, no challange. So, I go on hard and ... it becomes a grind. It is not just harder, progression becomes more expensive, while guards that are draining your resources become more needed (as they should be, that was my main complaint with the normal dif, but for the same goals). So, nice game, but it does feel like its normal and hard dif could use some work, one is too easy, other is grindfest, as well as some bugs that should be fixed. Also, band you manage is nice, but ... they are resting for too long, it feels like most of the game they do nothing. And I kind of don't know what their stats do. I do not know how to optimize them, feels random.
This is a lot more fun than I anticipated it would be. It is predominantly "mindless" fun in that you don't typically have to make any excruciatingly difficult decisions to progress the game or character advancement and is delectably simple and enjoyable. Recommended. It would be cool to see an expansion into another land or perhaps naval trade, or both. I would buy it.
A really great game! A few minor bugs, but if you're looking for something very chill, with solid progression this is it.
It's okay I guess. I wouldn't buy it unless at significant discount. Might be worth it if you're into hardcore story based rpgs, but the gameplay loop is too simplistic imo
Fun merchant sim with dynamic economics and witty writing.
A simple game but tons of fun. the combat could use an upgrade but otherwise 10/10
Simple repetetive fun
