This Is Not Your House

Nice art and sound design. However, there is little substance in the adventure and little to no sense of horror or uneasiness. The prose is dry with the occasional grammatical error.

This Is Not Your House is weird in a very specific way that actually works. The visuals are already off, but the real highlight is that old text-to-speech voice, it sounds like some broken machine trying to talk to you, and it makes everything way creepier than it should be. It’s super short, yeah, but it doesn’t waste time. In, out, leaves you with that uncomfortable vibe. 8/10, short but hits thanks to that cursed voice.

A great experience for those looking for a quick narrative experience. Not really "scary," but definitely uncomfortable. The writing in this game deliberately tries to keep you off-balance; I'd imagine feeling the same way if I came home from a grocery trip only to find a stranger claiming to own my house. The art in this game is wonderful, same with the music. It's only a dollar, and it only took me 30 minutes to get all the endings, so if you're looking for a fun, if a little strange, experience I'd definitely recommend.

Junji coded "wouldn't it be fked up" type of story. Nice and short

I picked this up for around fifty cents and enjoyed my time with it. Yes, it's short but the story is entertaining. The societal commentaries were a pleasant surprise and one of its worthwhile traits.

I'd say for the price of a bag of chips but, to be more accurate, for significantly cheaper than a 2025 bag of chips and of higher quality, This Is Not Your House feels like a classic r/nosleep story from 2013 as a choose your own adventure game. It's short, it's sweet, and by god does it scratch that itch my inner teenager has not been able to get to in years. It'll pull you through a tight half hour of lifting up every path just to see how weird this game can get. And it even has a little mushroom bop. If you don't like the mushroom bop, you're wrong.

I 100%'d the game in less than 20 minutes. It's less than a dollar. It's hilarious. Play the damn thing. There's a lot of "Well it's short, but at least its cheap" games out there. This is cheaper, more creative, and more entertaining than any other in that category I've seen. Must recommend.
