This is a fun puzzle game, but it's also frustrating. But it is also very fun, but also frustrating. Did I mention it's frustrating? But it's also fun. The basic premise is as follows: you solve levels, where each level is a puzzle, using gadgets at your disposal. As you progress in the run, you unlock more gadgets. And then you can use them to solve levels in fun and creative ways. But the order of levels and gadgets that you unlock is randomized, so there's some replayability. But you might get bad RNG, which can be frustrating. This game also has physics, that are a bit janky. Which can be fun, bit sometimes it is frustrating. Did I mention that? The visual style is pleasant, and you can clearly see your objective and what's going on in the level. Overall, despite all its shortcomings, it's worth giving it a try!
Never have I played a puzzle game before where you are truly faced with the consequences of your actions. With the random gadgets you get and the physics, something which first seemed like a rational logical approach quickly turns into a "OMG OMG OMG WHAT WHAT AAAAH"-moment. It's a mix of slowly approaching your goal, and quickly acting on the emergent chaos of the environment and dealing with the results in a very quick succession of choices. And sometimes, when you believe you are truly doomed, down to only one single item and the level looks like Mordor due to the catastrophic results of your bad choices, you do a HAIL MARY action and you WIN! A great feeling. I can recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a very differently paced puzzle game than you probably currently have in your library, and which twists your brain in a very different way!
I've always liked the idea of having multiple ways to solve the same puzzle — it makes for great replayability. The variety of gadgets makes it a fun experience, and even when you run out of everything, the physics itself can help you with a bit of creative thinking!
Don't overthink the solution. Do experiment and see what happens. There are tons of emergent materials that lay the foundation for gloriously chaotic gameplay!
The world needs more Mosa-Lina-likes and this is a fun one!
Just started, but it's great fun!
A fun game perfect for unwinding after a long day solving its clever multi-solution challenges.
