The Wolf's Bite: A Review Truly this game has a very fun and entertaining premise to it. You play as either the Big Bad Wolf, going through a career change from story book antagonist, to a culinary artist and manager; or the Three Little Pigs, who turn out to be involved in a gang that want to almost "blackmail" the Wolf. Gameplay wise I found it quite entertaining, having played through at least 2 playthroughs for each of the characters. Notably, I did struggle a bit at first to understand how the game functioned with no "How to Play" or tutorial explaining what your main goal was. In terms of the games events affecting stats (popularity, stars and income) I like the randomness of the events for each location and each decision leading to various paths or the same outcome (if you know what the choice leads to after having seen it already). This allowing you to strategize and choose the outcome that best benefits you or hampers your opponent. Overall a short game experience that can be enjoyed multiple times just to see what new path you can encounter. 8/10

It's a fun game you can play with kids or your friends or even just by yourself. The dialogue is quirky and funny and there's always something you haven't tried yet.

It's a cute game, with quite a few jokes. After all, it's a game about the three little pigs, and the wolf against each other, both for their own reason, of course. The story gets on, and it's always hard to decide where to go. Only because so many random events exist, and yet so little time to do anything.

Wolf's Bite on yksinkertainen mutta todella syvällinen peli. Pelin tarina on kaikessa yksinkertaisuudessaan se että Susi perustaa Wolf's Bite nimisen ravintolan ja tarkoitus olisi saada se kukoistamaan samalla aikaa kuin pahismaiset porsaat tekevät pahojaan, aikeinaan tuhota yritys. Peliä voi pelata yksin tai kaksin ja kumpana puolena tahansa. Pelissä on varsin suuri uudelleenpeluuarvo, mutta samalla aikaa peli on varsin lyhyt. Koko peli kestää viikon ajan ja yhden päivän aikana voi suorittaa yhden toiminnon. Sitten on toisen puolen vuoro. Kaupungissa on useita paikkoja joissa voi vierailla ja valita kahdesta vaihtoehdosta mihin pyrkii. Paikkoja on niin kaupungintalo, paikallinen järvi, paha naapurusto, baari jne. Toiminnoilla on erilaisia vaikutuksia ja vaikutukset voivat kohdistua kumpaan tahansa puoleen. Pelissä on kaksi isoa tekijää jotka maine ja mammona. Kumpikin lisääntyy tai vähenee riippuen pelaajan valinnoista, oikeilla valinnoilla voi lisätä merkittävästi molempia. Sudella on tämän lisäksi ravintolan tasokkuusmittari. Kun seitsemän päivää on kulunut, niin peli päättyy ja riippuen ravintolan tasosta ja molempien puolien maineesta ja mammonasta, seuraa lopetus, joita on useita. Tyylillisesti peli tapahtuu kuva kuvalta jossa teksti kertoo mitä tapahtuu. Tästä tulee tietty satukirjamainen tunnelma joka toimii pelin tapauksessa ihan hyvin. Pelattavuudessa itsessään valitaan vain että minne mennään ja mitä tehdään. Ensin valitaan paikka ja sitten kahdesta vaihtoehdosta aikomus. Siitä seuraa yksi juonipolku jonka lopussa valitaan 2-3 vaihtoehdosta menettelytapa josta sitten seuraa lopputulos joka on +, - tai 0. Vaikutusta voi olla useampa osioon ja kumpaan vain puoleen. Suden Suupala on peli jolta ei tule odottaa mitenkään paljoa vaihtelevaa pelattavaa, mutta lyhyyn peliin mahtuu kuitenkin sen verran vaihtelua että sen voi pelata läpi aika monta kertaa joten kyllä tästä helposti tulee pariksi tunniksi pelattavaa ja jos toinenkin pelaaja liittyy peliin niin mahdollisuudet lisääntyvät. Pelin strateginen puoli toimii todella hyvin sillä jokaisessa sijainnissa on omanlaisensa tapahtumat joita on sen verran monta että vaikka viettäisit yhdessä sijainnissa kaikki siirrot, niin uusia skenaarioita tulee vastaan. Pitkässä juoksussa tietyt tapahtumat tulevat vastaan uudestaan ja uudestaan, etenkin jos pelissä käy samoissa paikoissa ja tekee samoja asioita. Vaihtoehtoja on kuitenkin todella paljon ja mahdollisuuksia tulee sitä kautta valtavasti. Jokaisen vuoron alussa tulee myös hieman sanomalehtiotsikoita mahdollisista tapahtumista. Tämä peli on todella pitkälti sitä, että pelaaja oppii kokemuksen kautta että mitkä ratkaisut toimivat ja mitkä eivät. Lisää pelattavaa tulee myös siinä vaiheessa kun alkaa metsästää saavutuksia, kuten sitä että toinen puoli on lopussa aivan PA tai todella huonossa maineessa. Pelissä on monta muuttujaa ja sitä kautta peliin tulee kyllä sitä ikää. Kyseessä ei ole mikään parin tunnin peli joten tämä on hintaansa nähden hyvä ostos. Pelin ehkä suurimmat heikkoudet ovat juurikin mitkä tämänlaisissa peleissä usein tulevat vastaan. Tarinapätkät tulevat nopeasti tutuiksi eikä pelissä ole varsinaisesti kovin paljoa vaihtelua ja peli on lyhyt. Nämä ovat kuitenkin sellaisia osia jotka tukevat pelin ideaa. Tämä on nopeasti läpi pelattu mutta niin tarinaperusteinen peli, että sen pelaa läpi monta kertaa. Ulkoasu on hyvin yksinkertainen eikä ääninäytttelyä ole, mutta kokonaisuus toimii silti hyvin. Kokonaisuutena Wolf's Bite on hyvä peli. Se tarjoaa toimivan kokonaisuuden jolta ei tule odottaa mitään aivan massiivista saati monumentaalista. Tämä on sellainen kiva pikkupeli josta saa hyvää ajanvietettä. Peliin pääsee nopeasti sisään ja sen parissa saa kyllä kulutettua tunnin jos toisenkin. Etenkin jos haluaa nähdä kaikki mahdolliset tapahtumat ja lopputulokset. Moninpeli tuo mukanaan oman lisänsä. + Yksinkertainen idea toimii + Tietty koukuttavuus + Paljon vaihtoehtoja - Todella koruton - Toistaa itseään tietyn pisteen jälkeen Arvosana: 7,5/10

I went back and forth on whether to recommend The Wolf's Bite. On the one hand, it's harmless; it has good art, the gameplay is pretty fun and it runs like a dream. On the other hand, it's very short and easy to figure out, meaning that there is probably a maximum of 1-2 hours of enjoyment before things get stale. With that said, I ended up on the positive side because I played this game alone, and I think that there is room for more enjoyment if you play it with a friend. The game is a 1v1 board game essentially, and where the single player experience end up with you quickly learning all the right answers whereas the AI does not, playing with a friend could be more back and forth and thus more fun. With that said, that only stretches the game's length so far and I don't think that it's ever going to be a game you play for a long time. As a two-player game on a budget, I think that The Wolf's Bite is a fine game. The short runtime might be an issue, so keep that in mind. For anyone seeking a fun single player experience, or expecting a fuller game, I would give this one a pass.

My personal review: ★★☆☆☆ I will be honest, that isn't my type of game, but from what i have played, the game seems pretty fun to play with someone! maybe one or two rounds, maybe could have more stuff than text and choices related, maybe a store would be nice so you could use your money. But in general, it is a nice game, the art is pretty, i love a lot the style of it.

Better alternatives out there. This is a "competitive visual novel" style game similar to games like The Yawhg and Monster Prom. The art looks lovely like those. It has loads of possible random events like those. However there's one thing it lacks: literally any control over those events! It's absolutely baffling, every single choice in the game is just three options, two out of three will lower your points, with no indication whatsoever which is correct! In the other games your stats would have an influence on what events you got and which option would be beneficial to you, here it's essentially just a game of rolling the dice over and over until somebody wins. It makes the experience honestly really unfun despite the adorable visuals, I don't think even children would enjoy this because kids tend to be even more impatient with game systems that are unfair like this. I was wondering why the average play time of this was only 15 minutes and well.. now I know. You play it once, you win or lose entirely at random. You try another game, you still have no effect on whether you win. You look at the massive list of achievements and think about how long it'll take when you have no way of choosing which 'route' to go on. Then you put it down and just replay The Yawhg. I hope perhaps the game improves in future because a child-friendly alternative to Monster Prom is a great untapped market and if this was just a fairer play experience it could make a lot of kids happy! (Adding online multiplayer would also help.)
