The Wizard and The Slug

Fantastic writing, love the characters and the origins of the world. Gameplay is tight and fair, easy to retry and a lot of options, 10/10

This game is so fun and creative. And just the thought that all of this is created by one person is beyong mind blowing. 10/10 would recommend.

Way better then the price suggests. Fun platforming gameplay, fun characters, great classic FF style music and am entertaining story that does kind of take itself a bit top serious for my taste. But all in all I had a great time with this game and it might even be a, dare I say?, Hidden Gem?

Very charming & fun.

This is the kind of thing someone would make when they're very passionate but don't have much funding, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. It's rough around the edges in a lot of places, but it's a good time the whole way through. For how short it is, the previous ~£9 price might be a bit much, but for the ~£4 or so it's going for now, it's an easy buy. I can't wait for the second game! Though, one last thing... SPOILERS FOR THE ENDINGS I felt the grey ending was the best one, because while I didn't stop Charm, I didn't give up without a fight. I didn't think they were in the right with what they were doing, considering how murderous and impulsive they could be. Perhaps the sequel could fix that...?

The Wizard and the Slug is a humouristic plattformer with funny and lovable characters, links to pop culture, but also a deep story. I have not finished the game as of right now, but what I can say so far is that it's got both easy and hard parts, funny and emotional dialogues and a deep lore that is to be unraveled! So far I can only recommend the game. Really fun and easy gameplay mechanics!

This was honestly a very charming game! While I had some difficulties getting used to the game's unique gimmick (your main method of attack is also your charges for platforming challenges), I did get used to it. The game offers a very intriguing world and story in a nice little chunk of time, and the humor pretty much matches mine. It still seems like I have more to do, which I might consider in the future, but the story alone gave me a satisfying experience. If this wasn't on sale, I'd have bought it for double the base price, frankly. While I see that the dev has pivoted to different, (seemingly) more one-off arcade like experiences, I do hope they consider following up on this game in the future.
