The Whisperer

While it sounds like a good idea in concept, the game does not mention anything about suicide or depression within its main description, only after downloading. After that, I got about two steps into the game and it became unresponsive to anything but the inventory button. Fortunately, I only paid 74 cents, but its going straight to immediate refund. Do not purchase, I do not recommend.

I'm sorry, I just think it's too short for the price. The small map and relatively few interactions make it feel like a demo, and at $5 USD for roughly 30-40 minutes of content (depending on how easily you get stuck) I personally don't see the value. I anticipate playing this team's full game, The Whispering Valley; but I'm wary of spending full price ($15) on that one after this experience. I would only recommend The Whisperer on steep sale or for free.

I got it for a buck, so ok. But it probably should have been free since its an extremely short and dull introduction to what I assume somehow continues in their next game which is like 80 years or so later. Its labelled as a point and click. It gets a bit strenuous looking for a tiny something with limited light. You have complete control of the camera with the mouse, most places full 360 degrees, but walking is limited to specific points to click, many requiring mousing over a few times to find the little pointer finger. I think if you're going to make a point and click game, keep the view area limited. If you allow 360 degrees of control, why not just allow smooth locomotion as well?

I got it on sale for $0.99 and I recommend it for that price. It's a short experience, but fun and interesting story. I think the developer could add some simple things like achievements and maybe some secrets or alternate endings to introduce some more replayability.

Mysteriously chilling atmosphere with classic mid-2000s point & click vibes. Very short, but definitely worth picking up on sale.

A very short, but atmospheric and messed up point and click horror game. Looks good, sounds good for the most part except audio clipping during a loop.

this reminded me of the mystery hidden object games i played with my grandpa as a kid (i miss him) they used to give me nightmares and this scared me quite a bit too. loved the gloomy, isolated atmosphere.

Ambiance pesante, le parti prit du Point & Clic rend le jeu intéressant et participe à l'ambiance. Le jeu mise plus sur l'observation que sur la résolution d'énigme. Pour les Screamophobes : pas de Screamer ni Jumpscare. Jeu très court.
