I don't relish giving this game a poor review, but even among other budget horror games, this one comes up lacking. The graphics themselves look rather nice, but that'll give you about 90 seconds of entertainment even if you were just here to soak up the sights, because the play area is tiny. Gameplay itself is essentialy non-existant, and my single playthrough even taking my time was over in 15 minutes. There was a total of 2 creepy moments, and maybe 11 lines of typed dialogue 3 of which were effectively repeat statements. oh and a couple papers on the ground. In theory I could play again, but even at 15 minutes it would feel like a waste of my time. I don't really regret buying this game since I'm not going to miss $6, but I wouldn't want someone with less free cash to get burned buying this.
Boa tarde pessoal! Bom jogo, cheio de mistérios. 6 finais e eu ainda estou explorando pra chegar em todos!

Starpixel, Obrigado pela chance de fazer o jogo (Starpixel, Thanks for the chance to stream the game). I can hardly wait to play more of your games and stream them on Twitch). Me procurem lá na Twitch: @gtraxxa7

Overall, the game for what it is and advertised to be is enjoyable, short, good atmosphere with a few good little jump scares. If you know what you're getting into as a game and a studio that is starting to make these experiences, then I can recommend it as a familiar experience to the genre. It does a great job at setting the tone of unease and the cramped conditions of the city. Though objects are repeated, I did like the layout and the pressed feeling the game managed to evoke of living in too-tight conditions with too-thin walls. A lot of sounds you eventually did figure out, but having so much stimulus at first and not knowing exactly what it meant added to the tension of the initial walk through. It definitely has more than a few kinks to work out. I wish there were a few more settings, the music sometimes can overpower the other sound effects and there's no option to change it. While you can read your check-listed notes, other materials cannot be re-read so you may miss information. There's some jittering while walking and the blinking I'm not sure served a purpose so could have done without that mechanic. I could tell the game expected me to play a specific way, and when I didn't play in that way I ended up missing a few clues or jumpscares, and there's a few graphical errors. I did enjoy kicking around objects, would love to knock more stuff around haha. The endings are a bit difficult to decipher if they are good or bad. My first ending I initially read as positive now thinking back might have been a bad ending, and while the second one I managed to unlock was clearly bad, the reveal was very underwhelming for all the build-up. I would definitely like to see another scare or jump added in before the reveal of the ending to emphasize the gameplay rather than display the aftermath immediately upon interaction. Overall I did have fun with it, it was spooky enough to keep me on edge and short enough I didn't feel fatigued from running through the game a total of 3 times (though at the end I was definitely being a lot more silly about it.) I can think of a few more ways I could try for one or two more endings, but the final 2-3 endings I think would be much more difficult to find given the limited scope of the game. I would be interested to see folks find them out!
This is when I wish there was a mixed option and not only a yes/No answer to do you recommend the game. I received a game key from Lurkit to test the game for free I have to say 1st, this type of game isn't for me most of the time, but if there were some changes in it I would probably go back and try to get other endings. Let's start with the negative first: Lack of video and audio options; I had to go into my audio mixer and turn it down to 10% cause I was finding it way too loud. I play on a pretty big monitor and never play any game in fullscreen, I had to with this one. FOV was too close for me, I would guess it was between 45 and 60, anything under 90 for me can give me a headache if there is weird movement and it did with the bobbing while walking. The good: Atmospheric sound was great Details in the game assets Layout and design of the location very close to what can be seen in documentaries about the walled city. The Mid: Not sure about the plot or if there even is 1. Physics could be wonky at times. Would I recommend this? I am not sure, it would depend on who is asking, I went in thinking it was more of a horror game but didn't get that feeling, it is more exploration/walking simulator as far as I can describe it.
yeah it's alright, get on big sale
Enjoyed the simple scope of a day-to-day repetitive livelihood of a Kowloon squatter. I feel that there is potential for more content in this one title than considered. Nothing overboard, but enough to flesh out the scenario much better. The tension, clarity of story, and variety of ending make this quite replayable and worth the $4-6 asking cost. I feel the lack of clues, character interactions, and assists degrade from the game, but then again I haven't played through all 6 endings yet. Ran into a couple of bugs, one of which was patched up relatively quick. The second arose after the update. Any time I venture to the Green Door (street level door with plants and furniture at the right angle of the street), I get stuck without ability to free my character. Despite needing more flesh to its bones and a bug or two, I feel this game can pass on its' own merit, and look forward to the next projects Starpixel has in mind. I hope that those projects include broadening of the Kowloon WC maps and storyline further. I consider a fair grade for this first title a B-
Penoso
This is a great indie game that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The game's atmosphere, the music, the characters, and the location are great. I got 2 out of 6 six endings and can't wait to see which ending I will get next. This is a great indie game that will keep you at the edge of your seat. Highly recommend it.
