My gambling addict friend said if I post a review on The Third Age and it gets 350 likes and 150 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer and some vodka . So I'm just gonna leave this here.
how exactly should i get s++ champion? spend 100k$? yea u wish salam alikom dont show me up at night
I luv this stupid genre, but this one is really shallow as a F2P. Obviously it's not unique in any way, but the main problem is in the grind - The 'SS' heroes are almost completely un-attainable (even for whales and top-dogs). The 'S+' heroes are barely attainable, but will never keep up with the 'S' heroes. So it quickly becomes apparent that the only F2P advancement is the long slow grind of mediocre 'S' heroes. The community isn't even large enough to be toxic or helpful, and the world goals and faction competition are also paper thin. No thanks, moving on.
Warning: Microtransaction infested browser game! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"The Third Age" is just another low-effort browser game polluting the "free" section on Steam, and it carries hidden, toxic monetization... this is a glorified webpage, not a real PC game. This is a fantasy themed browser scam, but does it really matter what skin they slap on the webpage that they packaged to look as if it's a real PC game? No. What matters is that this P2W PvP garbage is scamware where the outcome of every battle is determined by who gives the most money to the toxic browser game developers responsible for this garbage. This is a purely superficial game-like "experience" designed for a web browser, repackaged to look like a real PC game when it isn't. The graphics and the mechanics are Adobe Flash-tier... imagine the gaudy, cheap plastic casing on the slot machines at the casino. That's what this is, a cheap flashy veneer on a shallow non-game with one purpose... to bleed you dry through mobile-tier microtransactions. Putting that toxic mobile app tier monetisation aside... this is a webpage. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could browse the web, and I don't think you did either... Steam isn't here to compete with Firefox and Chrome. The presence of this game on Steam is just a desperate attempt from a shady web developer to try scam a wider audience, an audience you certainly should not be part of. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. This game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 10 players, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Definitely not... this is just an unethical cash grab. Avoid at all costs.
