This game is so bad that it becomes somehow good
Literally, the most useless part of the review. (A verrry quick overview & stuff)
The Stalin Subway is a russian low-budget FPS released in 2005. The story revolves around Gleb Suvorov, whose colleagues turn agnaist him in the game's begining.
There is also a second playabe protagonist later on, but she plays the same as her male counterpart
The rest of the story is some unintresting politicall bull-dropping that I don't even care about. Dialogs quality is pretty poor too (And so is the voice acting) But if you are a valid slav junk enjoyer like I am, you should care about the gameplay and level design which I am going to cover now.
The game insides.
What is here to say? Buggy and junky physics capable of killing OR seriously damaging you in 1 second? Enemies so mentally challenged that they will walk in front of you without even shooting and throw greneades under their feet? (Or miss almost every shot besides using one of the games most accurate guns) Doors not opening when they ARE SUPPOSED to DO so? Well enough of my rant on cons. The pros are here too. It's level design and shooting overview time! MOST of the levels in this game are ACCTUALLY well made. There are enough supplies and enemies (Sometimes too much but who cares?), the devs can "tell" you where you are supposed to go (usually) and some enviroments are dark and gritty like the real 50s Russia was. I have got problems with the Metro stages though. They are so sloooow and bland that I almost fell asleep during my playthrought. The weaponary is really satisfying to use and it's the best reason to buying this game (Pepesha my beloved) Every weapon packs a punch and kicks enemies' kicking spot very hard. (So hard that they start flying) They even did the pistols right (Because making them usefull even after introducing better weponary is hard) My only nitpicks are the grenade launchers. They are just there and that's all. Concluding my low effort review of The Stalin Subway, this game is neat, like 5/10 neat. But for the slav junk fans its a must.
