The Space in Between

It's a cute game you can play in between. What I really appreciate is the exchange between Miles and June, having those deep conversations and that they are able to understand each other so deeply. Sometimes such conversations are much needed and I think - this - is just wonderfully made.

It was a game i played for 34 minutes. Can't say I feel spectacularly offended or inspired by any of the "themes" of being asian american or depression. It was like listening to the most spectacularly boring and vanilla people talk and have the conversations go in the same circle of "wow. I hate my mom." I was spoon fed so much information with virtually no story. The entire story is explaining the main characters backstory. And this thing of "exploring mental health" is just casually mentioning one of characters was depressed and how he regrets being depressed. That one comment saying they love when men with mental health are represented in media better up their bloody standards because if that's your definition of good representation WHEN IT"S SUPPOSED TO ONE OF THE MAIN POINTS EXPLORED IN THIS SO CALLED "STORY" then just go back to tiktok. Or 13 Reasons Why since y'all gobble up anything that throws the word depression or mental illness in it. Apparently someone was very offended by the asain american stereotypes but as an asian american I literally did not care. Like wow. They showed aspects of asian culture and then stated an experience that a lot of people go through. Omg wow the disrespect. If I could put a picture of someone rolling their eye I would. It should be noted I skipped a lot of text because I swear everything was about how much June dislikes her mom. I could not bring myself to care at all about these characters because their not really characters in the first place. Their people who are dating and talk for 34 minutes. More character traits were given to Sakura in the first episode of naruto than these 2 have.
