After an act of desperation and courage, Ayo finds himself separated from his mother and adrift in the ocean. Upon finding solid ground, he encounters a new and challenging land, a place full of mysteries and dangers. Face a variety of enemies, from wild animals to hostile indigenous warriors, as you explore dense forests, open fields, and dark caves.
The South Island is an action RPG with a nostalgic pixel art style, inspired by the exploration of Zelda (SNES) and the progression system of classic Diablo.
Over 40 hand-drawn maps and special areas, exploring the local fauna and flora;
Help the main character face unique enemies while progressing, collecting items and resources;
Fight with native, magical, and firearm weapons: axe, spear, blowgun, bow and arrow, magic staff, and arquebus;
Face epic bosses, unique entities, and 2D platform-style battles;
Different mechanics in each map — discover new features as you progress through the game;
Craft unique items: cook traditional native recipes and create local crafts using gathered resources;
Special merchant with a full buying and selling system;
Puzzles, mini-games, side quests, and an engaging story about a brave young boy.

Muito bom, um jogo com uma boa história, inimigos balanceados, antes achei que seria algo bem mais linear, mas o jogo ainda consegue colocar um sistema de craft, pesca, montaria que deixa o jogo muito divertido, passei e vou passar algumas horas ainda jogando essa obra

Jogo ótimo! Passando pela fauna, descobrindo o Brasil de uma certa forma com raízes históricas e folclóricas e enfrentando inimigos da região, sureal! Game bem elaborado, disponibilidade de realizarmos ataques, upload do personagem, coletar e verificar itens, proporcionando a interação do som dos animais com o cenário, principalmente dos pássaros achei lindo! Aquele estilo RPG épico e muito nostálgico, muito foda! Parabéns Luis pela criação continue firme na caminhada.

What a great little indie action RPG! You play as a young dude on a mission to rescue his mom from some pirates who had them both captive. You battle animals and pirates along the way and make friends across a number of villages. There are ~25ish screens (rough estimate) with each one having its own unique set of objectives (e.g. find the hidden treasure chest, defeat 5 crabs, complete x side quest), which added a fun layer to the gameplay. I ran into several bugs, but nothing game-breaking. Music and sound effects were great and immersive. The story was basic but this didn't detract from the experience at all. There are very minor fishing, cooking, and crafting mechanics. I don't know if others would feel this way, but playing this game gave me (a 40-year-old dude) a sense of adventure and wonder similar to what I felt playing Secret of Mana on the SNES back in the day. Highly recommended if it looks interesting at all!
