Good Game, loved the Story.

The Sorrowvirus: A Faceless Short Story is a casual indie story-rich first-person adventure created by Watchmaker. You are Wyatt Heyll, a young man with a terminal illness. Wyatt’s parents give him the Sorrowvirus, “a substance that suspends the human soul in Purgatory after death; allowing them to heal due to Purgatory’s mysterious properties.” As his health and sanity deteriorate, Wyatt’s only desire is to be free, forever. Without giving too much in the way of spoilers: Wyatt, voiced by YouTube’s 8-BitRyan, is dying over and over again and must navigate Purgatory while his parents try to find a cure. There is a mature content warning that the game’s subject content deals with “difficult psychological matters relating to, but not limited to, death, suicide, and euthanasia.” A look at what is to come: Watchmaker is looking forward to showing everyone multiplayer! The plan is for the game to be full price. They have not yet determined a price but hope it will help them expand Faceless with the additional Short Stories. Bear in mind that these are placeholder names and synopses; these are the early iterations of what the Faceless Short Stories are, as outlined on the Faceless Steam store page. All of these may be subject to change. (Minus ‘The Sorrowvirus,’ of course!) The Sorrowvirus - Journey into Purgatory as Wyatt struggles to set himself free from his torment at the hands of his parents. Beyond The Shell - Explore the fallout of the Bear Valley Tragedy as the ghost of Cassandra Noble, and attempt to free her soul from the confines of one of the Soulrender’s dolls. Secondborn - Witness the birth of the Soulrender mere hours before ‘Beyond The Shell’. As Wendy Mason, explore the facility of Precipice before it became known as Heyll. Whispers of Wakeland - Endeavour to find Daniel North as Elijah Grey, venturing to the outskirts of Wakeland City, uncovering the deep, dark secrets of the Fallen Grace Church & Asylum. The Perishing of Daniel North - Fall to Purgatory one last time as Daniel North, a hard-of-hearing survivor whose hearing-aid batteries run out in this unnatural, world-bending environment. Recommended! When I first played this game, it was the demo version. About halfway through, I was so completely involved with the plot and the world in which Wyatt (the character you play) and the dolls inhabited… I had to stop there and get the full version. Save yourself the time. It is so immensely worth it to skip the demo. I’ve been gaming for a very long time. I’ve seen a LOT of good games and even more mediocre and crappy games. This game has literally had me obsessed! The theme is so rich. The developers are currently working on a multi-user version on several platforms (PC, Xbox, etc.). I can’t wait!! (Do I sound too excited? Oh, but I am!! I am HAPPY to be this excited about a game like this. It seriously hasn’t happened in a very long time!) I was also thrilled to find one of many ‘easter eggs’ when I was exploring: One of my absolute favorite YouTubers, Daz Black, can be heard when you pick up something “special” related to him. I thought this was so cool and hope this is only a hint of what is to come from this amazing talent’s involvement with this project. The one minor issue I had with the game was relating to a Steam Achievement. Still, others have gotten it, and the developer was very responsive in answering my questions with a way to resolve my problem. I truly recommend this game and foresee big things in the future for Faceless and Watchmaker. And… I WANT THOSE DOLLS! About the developer: The Surrey-born game developer, Adam Sklar (aka Sklarlight), attended Mary Hare School before going on to study Film & Television at the Southampton Solent University; during this time, he began developing his own video game series titled ‘Faceless’. In 2015, Adam won the ‘Best Screenplay Award’ from the Southampton Solent University; which encouraged him to write further, expanding upon the video game series by writing a series of novels for it. On May 30, 2020, The Sorrowvirus: A Faceless Short Story was released on Steam. In 2019, Adam was cast in his first on-screen role as Henry Percy in A Discovery Of Witches on Sky One and AMC+. A Discovery of Witches is a supernatural series based on the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Game can not save and a lot of bugs, sometime crash event my hardware run smooth with heavier other games.

I love the story of the game. It is a bit challenging with the puzzles and has a couple of jumpscares too. I wouldn't say it's a horrorgame, but def mystery and puzzles. The graphics are beautiful, the sounds and controls feel good. I recommend playing it if you want a little bit of mystery, chill time and a few puzzles.

My computer was laggy at times, but don't let that take away from the story and thought put into the game. It was very well thought out and with the many puzzles definitely challenges your brain. I enjoyed it and honestly can't wait to get the rest of the multiple endings in it. Absolutely loved the chance to get to play your Game!!!

A really great game. The game is fast paced, dizzying, and thrilling. Very intense subject matter and a fantasy story that in any other context would suspend disbelief, but like any classic it's delivered without a hint of irony. The puzzles aren't super hard - just hard enough while you're on a time limit. Again, we enjoyed it. We really enjoyed the Slenderman easter egg. Can't wait for more Faceless games.

mmm el juego se ve bien y me funciono perfecto pero no me gusto. La historia es demasiado enroscada para entender algo de lo que esta pasando en tan solo 1 hora y los puzzles me parecieron flojos. Lo peor que tiene el juego es el tema del reloj. Básicamente tenes que cada cierto tiempo tocar un reloj sino te moris y hay secciones de puzzles que tenes que resolverlos de forma rápida para poder ir a una habitación con un reloj. Si morís antes de resolverlo tenes que hacer todo de nuevo... me parece una idea muy floja y frustrante. Además no te deja tiempo de observar todo con tranquilidad porque estas siempre pensando en ese maldito reloj, entonces terminas avanzando para no morirte. Entiendo que el juego tiene múltiples finales y la idea es rejugarlo varias veces pero... primero me tiene que enganchar la historia y el gameplay para que me den ganas de rejugarlo. Flojeli. 4/10

Из её плюсов мне хотелось бы отметить следующее: [list] [*]+Мрачная атмосфера игры, которая помогает погружению в историю повествования [*]+Изменение уровней сложностей после каждого прохождения, что дает дополнительный накал страстей для получения всех концовок (коих в игре 4) и поиска всей информации, связанной с лором игры. [*]+Хорошие и качественные саундтреки, подчеркивающие и дополнительно создающие нужное настроение каждой конкретной сцены [*]+Отзывчивость авторов игры в случае обнаружения каких-либо проблем [*]+Для любителей пасхалок здесь есть огромное раздолье: внимательно изучайте каждую из локаций, пытайтесь сделать то, что в другой игре нельзя, и тогда, может, найдёте что-то интересное ;) [*]+Наличие нескольких неожиданных скримеров [/list] Несмотря на то, что записки в игре даются не в порядке произошедших событий, сюжет становится понять чуть труднее, но от того не менее интереснее. Однако, может потребоваться ручка с листочком, чтобы записать все связи персонажей, если "Faceless: Вирус Скорби" увлечёт вас с головой. Вывод: игру однозначно стоит приобрести и насладиться её уникальной атмосферой! Но помните: в ней нет сохранений, но она помнит, сколько раз вы её прошли.

This game is immense; the right level of spooky and messed up, amazing story, beautiful visuals, and smooth game-play. Truly a game worth playing, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your pants over. Not to mention the music is fabulous, definitely fits the tone and vibe of the game. 12/10, will deffo keep playing, and I can't wait to see what else comes from the team!

Love this game. Cool story, great environments. Really hope more happens with this universe and story, I'd love to see more of Wyatt
