Consumed by greed, Wyatt's parents subject him to a cycle of death without end, sending him into Purgatory each time to capitalise on the Catholicon, a cure-all they value more than their son, with the potential to reshape humanity. As he ebbs, Wyatt's only desire is to be free, forever.

About

"Over, and over again... It'll never end."
Wyatt Heyll has known nothing but suffering his entire life. Stricken since childhood with cascading cancers and relentless illness, he has always been standing at death's door, until his parents made a desperate choice. They gave him the Sorrowvirus.
A paranormal corruption of the soul, the Sorrowvirus bars its host from passing into the afterlife. Instead of permanent death, those infected find themselves in Purgatory after they die, a liminal place built from memories, dreams and nightmares, where broken bodies mend and are presented with the opportunity to escape death. But each time Wyatt returns to the living, he is told his ailments come back faster, hungrier than ever before. And still, his parents let him die, over, and over again, in the name of research, profit, and a propsective cure that may never be intended for him.
Wyatt no longer fears death. He fears coming back from it. He has endured enough, the question is whether you agree?
Wyatt's suffering is not yours to fix, but his fate is yours to decide. He needs someone willing to let him go. With four endings to discover in this evolving hellscape, will you grant him peace, or condemn him to continue?
The Sorrowvirus is a first-person story adventure built to be experienced in a single sitting, with each instance lasting approximately 45 to 60 minutes with no save points. However, the game will remember when you've reached an ending, and you may take breaks between instances before you reenter Purgatory. Act quickly. Time behaves differently in Purgatory, and it has a way of causing you to lose track of it.
Track it by seeking out the grandfather clocks scattered throughout Purgatory's decaying corridors, or find the wristwatch hidden after you complete the first instance if you'd rather freely explore without time constraints.
Every time you reach an ending, something shifts, dialogue changes, environments warp, the difficulty increases. The world is aware of how many times you've returned. Just like Wyatt. To experience the entire story, all four instances must be played.
Based on the upcoming novel Children of Sorrow.

No, this game was not for me. My fault in I didn't realize that this is a "no save" game. You are to play through completely and then each time you play again, things will change and you have a new experience which will further the story. Game play time is about an hour. If you stop anytime before completing the game you will need to start again. The content of the game and the environments are so full and rich and detailed, that you want to linger and take it all in. However there is a timing element in that you need to touch the Grandfather clock every so often to keep yourself alive for a little bit longer. Anytime you fail in your mission, you die and will be brought back to your last clock touch. Now here's the thing. I have played for over 2 hours and I have yet to make it though once. This is two sessions and if I go back I will have to start from the beginning. To make the game more exciting there are a limited amount of clocks around and in one very key place there are none. So in this place I have died several times, but fear not because I can start again right at this point, as long as I keep playing... I cannot quit the game or I will be forced to start from the very beginning. I did finally make it through that part and looking at the time I had played I figured I was at the end of my play through. Alas it was not to be and another challenging area opened up that I needed to complete w/o dying. But I did die, a few times. Then it was time for dinner, so all progress was trashed when I closed the game. I am not a happy person right now. Nope, I tried again and there is an instant death challenge at the end with a wonky flashlight that just puts the cherry on top of another tedious scene. Sorry but this is not fun at all.
TÜRKÇE DİL DESTEĞİ!
The Sorrowvirus artık Türkçe dil desteğine sahip!
First off the lead dev has been super helpful with insight for the game throughout even when I played a while ago. The game is supposed to be played in one sitting so bare this in mind before you start a game (no save feature) 45-60 minutes, although my first playthrough was actually an hour and a half because I was trying to look here there and everywhere, I regret nothing! You can tell a lot of effort went into this game through the story and the detail, the artwork is something I really really like and not one area of the game is ‘plain or boring’ always something to look at and forget about the time! The game has 4 endings which is fantastic, there are definitely some secrets and secret rooms you may or may not come across throughout your first playthrough, even if you do find some of these on your first play the game is definitely worth playing more than once especially for those other endings! Each time you play the game things change and sometimes become harder to navigate safely through the world which will keep you on your toes. The only issue I had (which really is not a big deal at all just me being fussy) was when lighting candles you have to click above the candle rather than clicking on it. (like I said really not a big deal but the only thing I can really nit-pick on) :D Really great work & I look forward to seeing if they do anything in the future (: ++Beautiful artwork/Graphics/Design +Story rich +Great voice acting +Replayability (multiple endings) +Reasonable price ++Highly recommend! You really should give this game a go!
I HATE DOLLS, but I LOVE THIS GAME!
This game is nevertheless a beautiful masterpiece with lore that seems to answer your questions, and yet, you still remain curious if those answers are the ACTUAL truth. The clock mechanic combined with the spookiness of the dolls (I hate Dolls a lot) , and knowing there are NO SAVE POINTS is PERFECT , in my opinion; It gives you that sense of urgency while trying to figure out, "what in the world is going on"! (But in a Good Way). I also feel it's good game for people to watch while "backseat gaming." This game is the perfect combo of horror, suspense, and curiosity. The more and more you play the game, the scarier it gets; (or maybe it's just me) also, the curiosity grows as well. I've finished 1 play through, now I'm on my 2nd and I am DEFINITELY doing all 4. For $5.99, this is a NO BRAINER. If you want to see a grown get scared of dolls click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AalJasSo-QM Thank You Adam Sklar and the Watchmaker Team for an amazing game!
The atmosphere and graphics are incredible. Unfortunately, the gameplay is poor. Floaty movement, finicky interactions with items, and a poor gameplay loop of fetch with a time limit drag the game down.
The Graphics, physics, and all-around appearance is absolutely gorgeous! I definitely plan on playing the whole game. All of the cameos such as 8-Bit-Ryan and Fran bow are also really incredible. The only pet peeve I have with the game is that the sensitivity and the way the camera shifts as the player moves around gives me somewhat of car sickness, which makes it hard to continue playing. But besides that, I'm in love with the Sorrowvirius!
Aside from standard walking sim gameplay. It features egghunt, padlocks and secret areas via false walls. There's 4 escalating instances of the game adding different notes, recordings and new minor areas to explore each time. As well as 4 endings. It is possible to get the True Ending in your first playthrough but your time will be limited as such. It has somewhat frequent jumpscares and a couple menacing enemy placements but the positives heavily outweigh.
