About
Step into an art sanctuary woven from colors, shapes, and puzzles, and embark on an unprecedented journey of the soul. You will become an art seeker, traversing the inner worlds of four 20th-century art masters, unlocking the secrets hidden deep within their works.
Picasso's Cubist Fantasy: What passions and struggles are hidden beneath the bright sun of Barcelona?
Enter Picasso's world and experience the subversion and reconstruction of Cubism. The roar of the bull, the collision of lines, the splatter of paint... every detail holds a clue. In scenes filled with Spanish flair, you will search for lost brushes, decipher hidden symbols, and gradually uncover the source of inspiration behind Picasso's creations. When the bull breaks free, you will witness the ultimate power of art.
Malevich's Suprematist Purity: What purity and extremes echo in the geometric labyrinth?
Follow in Malevich's footsteps and explore the mysteries of Suprematism. In an abstract world composed of squares, circles, and crosses, you will experience an unprecedented sense of pure emotion. Solve geometric puzzles, find the key to conquering the sun, and finally reach the sanctuary of Suprematism, feeling the tranquility and harmony that transcends reality. This is not only a puzzle, but also an exploration of the inner world.
Magritte's Surreal Dream: Where dreams and reality intertwine, what absurdity and poetry are hidden?
Step into Magritte's surreal world and experience a feast for the eyes and mind. Here, apples float in the air, pipes are no longer pipes, and familiar objects are given new meanings. In scenes filled with whimsical ideas, you will solve seemingly absurd yet meaningful puzzles. Traveling between dreams and reality, you will discover the truth hidden beneath the surface and feel Magritte's unique artistic charm.
Mondrian's Rhythmic Order: What balance and harmony are contained in the symphony of red, yellow, and blue?
Immerse yourself in Mondrian's geometric world and experience the perfect combination of order and rhythm. In the interweaving of the three primary colors of red, yellow, and blue, you will experience a simple and pure beauty. By solving puzzles related to colors and lines, you will gradually understand Mondrian's artistic concepts and discover the figurative reflections hidden behind abstract forms. This is not only a visual enjoyment, but also a profound of balance and harmony.
This is more than just a puzzle game; it's an artistic journey through time and space. Are you ready to accept the challenge and embark on your art exploration?

My timing for the game is misleading as I must have left it running several times. I would say about a leisurely 4 hours due to a lot of going over old ground trying to discover what to do next. I do love most of the Cotton Games and have bought nearly all of them. The Son of Art, although enjoyable, doesn't score as highly for me as many other offerings from this publisher and that's mainly down to the very linear nature of this game. If you are stuck, you are really stuck as there is nothing else to do until the solution is found. Or at least it seemed that way. The style of the game is very similar to many of their others and I really like the simplicity of the art work and the odd characters that inhabit the strange worlds they create. For me, this game delivered in that respect. I enjoyed the mini games very much - one in particular was really fiendish - but some of the 'get this and put it there' puzzles were rather obscure. There was a lot of clicking to do because there was no difference between the usual cursor and when it travelled over a hot spot. The game focuses on 4 modern artists and it was quite interesting and educational to read about them along the way. However, for me, the game lacked a reason for doing things except to move the game forward to the next conundrum. I'm not usually that bothered if there is no story as such, but I didn't feel there was any kind of motivation other than enjoying figuring out what to do next - which is okay but didn't really grab me as much as it could have done. Anyway, as always, for the price you can't go wrong with Cotton Games output as they are certain worth the money and I will always be on the lookout for any new games they make.
My husband and I both played this and enjoyed it, as we have all the Cotton Games we have played. Not easy-peasy...they make you think. I enjoy the graphics and the thought that is put into the situations and puzzles. Yes, I have had to resort to a cheat or two when my brain is tired, but we both really enjoy the art, the themes, and the thought that these developers put into their games. Keep 'em coming!!
interesting, educational. some puzzles are not obvious so you will need to explore all options even the weird ones
A surreal Point & Click Quest inspired by the works of four great artists: Picasso, Malevich, Magritte, and Mondrian. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/m7j7dXXwS6Q This is a unique and captivating quest. It has four chapters. In each, you explore the world of paintings by one of the four artists, pick up and use objects, solve puzzles, and play mini games. As you progress, you earn in-game achievements and unlock additional puzzles in the main menu. Completing the game takes approximately 3-4 hours. The puzzles are of medium difficulty. Hints are provided in the form of objects and journal entries. [u]You can read other reviews and subscribe to our curators.
