「 ✦ REVIEW ✦ 」

English
Dad’s Monster House 2: MEDAL is one of those games that greets you in a strange way… and then leaves you staring at the screen for a few minutes after it ends. From the very beginning, it creates this uncomfortable, almost eerie feeling — not in a bad way, but in a curious one. At first, it takes a bit to adjust to the visual style and the way the story unfolds, but little by little everything starts to click, and when it does… wow, the emotional hit it gave me. The narrative builds itself slowly, letting you observe, connect the dots, and reinterpret what you thought you understood. The ending, honestly, I didn’t see coming at all, and it recontextualizes everything in a really beautiful and impactful way. One thing I really loved is how it plays with the feeling of being inside a slightly twisted reality. At first, I didn’t fully understand the panels or the stories they showed, but once you reach the end… everything makes sense. It doesn’t feel forced, it feels intentional. Gameplay-wise, it has some really interesting ideas. I loved being able to draw and take notes, something I haven’t really seen done this way in other games, and it feels very natural — especially for future puzzles, where you end up writing things down “just in case.” The fast travel system is also very well implemented, considering you’ll be moving back and forth through the house quite a lot. That said, it’s not perfect. One thing that confused me a bit is that some characters clearly show you an item they need, which makes you assume everyone will work the same way… but they don’t. That inconsistency can be a bit confusing at first, and I think it would’ve been clearer if that logic had been consistent across all characters — because yes, I did spend a good while running around the house looking for who needed a hat. Still, the experience as a whole outweighs its flaws. It’s a game that leans into emotion, symbolism, and a gentle but constant sense of unease. And honestly, after finishing it, it left me wanting to explore more of the developer’s work. It might not be a game for everyone, but if you enjoy stories that feel something, that make you think and linger in your head long after you’re done, Dad’s Monster House 2: MEDAL has something very special to offer.
8.4/10 Juego point and click muy divertido.
This one was a little ridiculous with the puzzles. You would never guess some of them. Had to look them up.
