good game, great ambiance, interesting puzzle mechanics. the shaders do a fantastic job at looking like motion in water

short and sweet 2.5D puzzle platformer with horror elements. might have more to it than one would expect at a first glance (a hidden puzzle, second campaign/scenario, fully voiced dialogue, and so forth). gets just about as much as it could've out of what its gameplay (mainly lever pulling and box pushing) has to offer without overstaying its welcome. some of the more intensive puzzling found in the second campaign can veer close to getting irritating due to the larger amounts of space involved but it wasn't a big issue for me, thankfully. the underwater facility setting was a joy as always, especially with PS1 inspired aesthetics. the movement/animations having such a weighty feel from the pressure is a nice touch too. would love to play something like this that goes harder on the horror elements.
Neat worldbuilding and secrets. Not for the impatient
despite the tags, i wouldn't really call this a horror game--it's more like a puzzle platformer with extremely light horror elements. the experience is really about the atmosphere, which it very much achieves thanks to some excellent voice acting and visuals. the narrative tries its best to provide a sense of mystery, but it gets very convoluted very quickly, and eventually takes a backseat to what was clearly the game's main focus--the puzzles. the puzzles are the best and worst part of this game. the main gimmick is really interesting, and the puzzle sections themselves are well-designed, but they're unfortunately hampered by the physics that come with the setting. everything feels painfully slow, and any satisfaction that might come with solving a section is immediately snuffed out by the realization that you now have to transport your newly-obtained box to the other side of the level at the speed of a dying snail. the grand majority of the game is spent doing this, and it wears out its welcome disappointingly quickly. still, it's impressive how immersive an experience the devs were able to craft, especially within the constraints of its graphical style. if you have the patience for some occasional tedium, you'll probably still enjoy this.
A short but competent spooky PSX-like game. There are hints of replaybility.
The Sirena Expedition is a short narrative game with puzzle platformer elements with a Lovecraftian backdrop. I'd say for the small price I paid for it, it's a nice little game that I enjoyed. It even comes with a remixed campaign with harder puzzles and a tweaked story. It's a neat hidden gem that I'd recommend for people interesting in something more focused on atmosphere and narrative. There were only issue I encountered during my entire gameplay. One came from signposting on certain box puzzles later in the game where (after I had correctly solved it and got a box needed for the larger puzzle) I was unsure if I needed to get more or not. This led to me wasting some time trying to solve a puzzle that I had already completed.
Fun little atmospheric platforming experience. Tells an interesting story with good narration and does not drag the game play out unnecessarily. Recommended if you want something short and fun!
A small but neat game. I love the map and the athmosphere. The voice acting is nice, too.
