About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

I backed this game when it was on Kickstart and it is great to finally have been able to play it. I think the developers did a great job making this game a true survival horror experience. There are several very tense moments and the environments are very creepy and spooky. The enemies are terrifying and can at time be overwhelming. As someone who enjoys Lovecraft's mythos and stories, it is awesome to see and hear the references to his works as you explore the city and other environments. I did notice however, that when reloading the game, it would always take a moment to load in the textures. The whole room will look low poly and the textures smudged until everything is loaded in. Also, in some tense moments with a lot of enemies, the enemies further away appear to stutter a bit. Other than these issues, which can easily be overlooked, I think it was really good game and is definitely a game worth checking out for any Lovecraft or survival horror fan.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A love letter to all call of Cthulhu fans from a small team that against all odds managed to make and surpass the previews title! it recreating the atmosphere of what you might expect from a survival horror! gunplay is enduring and it has its place some light melee and dodge mechanics to try to stay one step ahead of the eldritch horrors crafting/inventory/back tracking/storing box are all here ! besides the main story the locations you will visit and the investigations you find your self in are really cool with clues that need to be put together in a mind palace some of them scattered await to be discovered if you like Eldritch horror and survival horror you really should not sleep on this one!! a bit rough around some edges but an amazing experience Call of Cthulhu games like this we don't get enough or ever enjoy this title savour it !
Thank you Frogwares !
A mí me gusta.
The Sinking City 2 delivers an enjoyable and well paced experience, particularly through its puzzles. They neither disrupt the flow of the game nor waste the player’s time unnecessarily; instead, they make exploring the environment and piecing together clues genuinely satisfying. The melee combat feels somewhat dated, heavy, and clunky, but it still gets the job done. The selection of weapons is limited, though there is enough variety to meet the game’s needs. Still, the combat mechanics do not feel quite as polished as the atmosphere and storytelling. The game’s greatest strength is undoubtedly its story. Although certain sections feel rushed or rely on somewhat lazy solutions, it manages to deliver an engaging and accessible narrative that captures the unsettling spirit of the Lovecraftian universe. Its atmosphere, sense of discovery, and storytelling largely make up for its technical shortcomings. Considering the difficult circumstances the development team has faced, they have done an impressive job. The game is far from perfect, and some aspects clearly feel dated or underdeveloped. Even so, The Sinking City 2 knows exactly what it wants to be, offering a satisfying and distinctive experience for fans of Lovecraftian horror.
