Owned this when they published physical discs and logged countless hours into the game. I love that I bought it on Steam, just prior to Sims 4 launching, played it for a bit, and then now it doesn't launch. Thankfully I didn't purchased any of the overpriced DLC Also Sims 4 doesn't work either. There's a Sims clone in early access called Paralives. I already like it better

cant even load straight after one playthrough, tried to get a refund, but couldn't because of the playtime policy

Don’t get unless you’re ready for constant problems. I bought the game knowing it was buggy but I had no idea that it was borderline unplayable. The game itself runs pretty smoothly, gameplay is fun and I’d even say it’s better than the sims 4, the problems occur when you need to save the game you’re playing. Almost every time I’ve played, I’ve had to start a new world. The game won’t save normally, you need to ‘save as’ and change the name to something you haven’t saved it as before. Then you’ll be lucky to find your save on the menu screen. You have to start a new world, then add them there so you have to restart all of your progress. If you are lucky enough to get them to show up in the menu, there’s a pretty high chance you’re game will load and you’ll get a notification that says “A serious error has occurred while loading [world], it is strongly recommended that you restart the application. Restarting the application does absolutely nothing. If you look around online people will say to move the EA file but that also does nothing. Some people seem to not have the same problems but I guess it’s just something you have to consider before buying. It sucks. I really enjoy the game and wanted to get more expansion packs but I’m so sick of starting over and over again.
