Sims 3 are my entire childhood. Can´t even express how badly I love this game. Its been my all time favourite ever since I was 11. Used to have all the cds to it. So happy its on steam now :) Its the best open world game, such an universal experience. The amount of freedom and all the stuff u can do is incredible. Its addictive and u can download so many mods from TheResourceSims on the inernet!! I´d recommend checking it out. Also jus 10/10. I´m 22 now and I feel like I´m 11 whenever I play it. I remember all the sleepless nights in my bedroom, talking to myself pretending I´m one of my sims lmao. Truly such a nostalgic game. May I dare to say the BEST sims game. All other versions cannot truly compare. Big fan of the work here. If u think abt getting the sims, choose sims 3! its truly so worth it. All dlcs are so cool too. I´d recommend the most island paradise and pets. But I could never play without all of the dlcs. So so happy that this game was made. Hope yall find the game jus as exciting as I do <3
Fun game with a complete core experience compared to The Sims 4. I used to play this game for hundreds of hours when I was a kid, both The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. In my opinion, The Sims 3 is still the top-tier Sims game. I recently came back to play it again, and honestly, it still feels better than The Sims 4 in many ways. The open world, freedom, amount of content, and overall gameplay depth are just on another level. Every expansion actually adds meaningful features, and the game feels alive with so many things happening around the world. Creating stories for your Sims feels natural instead of scripted. Even after all these years, the game still has insane replay value and charm. The customization is amazing, the soundtrack is nostalgic, and the amount of detail put into the gameplay is incredible. It’s one of those games where you can easily lose track of time without getting bored. Definitely one of the best life simulation games ever made. 9/10 For game originality and nostalgic experience.
Why you should or should not play The Sims 3
Before You Read Every review on my profile is based on my own personal experience with a game. My opinions aren't facts, and you're not expected to agree with them-and that's perfectly okay. My goal isn't to tell you whether you should like a game. Instead, I try to explain what worked for me, what didn't, and who I think the game might appeal to. Constructive discussion is always welcome, but please remember there's a real person behind these reviews. Respectful disagreements are encouraged; insults, hostility, or personal attacks are not. What is The Sims 3? The Sims 3 is legendarily one of the most popular Sims games, with what everyone dreamed The Sims 4 would be a side from the better graphics. Quick Pros ✔ Addictive game play loop ✔ Satisfying progression system ✔ Unique mechanics ✔ Easy to learn controls ✔ Deep gameplay systems ✔ Good balance of challenge and reward ✔ Lots of different play styles Quick Cons ✘ Graphics feel dated ✘ Visual bugs or glitches ✘ Heavy micro-transactions ✘ DLC feels overpriced ✘ Content locked behind paywalls Initial Thoughts: The reason I did not fill out this category is because I originally played this a long time ago and my 'initial thoughts' are no longer 'initial.' Beginner Player Friendly? I would argue this game is beginner player friendly, there is no official tutorial from what I can remember however the controls are pretty straightforward and easy to understand as you play. Game Play: In this game you make your own life and create your own destiny. Create characters and families, pets, houses, barns and more. You run your own life in this game and it shows with the amount of people that just cause major chaos. Graphics: The graphics definitely show their age in this game. As there are many glitches with them that really did not age well with the times. However do not let that discourage you from playing. This game I do not believe could run on higher end systems or average end systems however I do not believe that it could run on lower end systems as it is very graphic heavy. Community: The Sims community has been a large one for years and has its ups and downs, but majority of the Sims community are very friendly. How long can you play? When I played this game at a younger age I was seriously so into it even though my little laptop could barely run it. I think for most Sims players they play for hundreds of not thousands of hours. For me however because the game could barely run on my laptop I kind of gave up playing it a while ago. However, do not let that detour you from playing the game! My Opinion: In my opinion, The Sims 3 has way better game mechanics then the Sims 4 and yet has worse graphics due to the times. But when it was there before the Sims 4 took over the life simulation genre, it was definitely the peak of its time. Overall Review ★ 8/10 - The Sims 3 was the best life Sims game before the Sims 4 took over. I still love it just a little more to this day. ✘ Active Online Multiplayer (meaning people will interact with you in game) ✔ Family Friendly (meaning friendly to all ages) ✔ Solo Playability (meaning you can play by yourself if preferred) ✘ Cross Compatibility (meaning you can play with friends through other consoles.) ✔ In-App Purchases (meaning you can buy things after buying the game i.e DLC's) ✔ Controller Compatible (meaning you can play this game with a controller) Enjoyed this review?
