The Sims™ 3

bought this game for 20 bucks. It was working at first I made my house and everything. It was perfect until it wasnt. I tried to launch it again the next day and the day after that, but it keeps saying error. dont waste your money. : (

Mein Favorit Sims. Nostalgisch und einfach toll. Habe Sims 3 hauptsächlich in meiner KIndheit gespielt, deswegen spiele ich es auch fast täglich. Gameplay bugt manchmal, konnte aber bisher ohne folgen gefixt werden. Erweiterungen mmn. bisschen überteuert für das alter, aber geht auch ohne Packs gut spielen. Definitiv eine Empfehlung für Sims.

really missed playing this just got back into it it's amazing.

Been playing this since it came out and it's still easily the best Sims game there is!

While the sims 3 is my favorite of all the sims games currently available, I would advise that you save your money and find a newer life-sim that will run better on newer computers. This goes doubly if you play with custom content, mods, and a lot of expansion and stuff packs enabled. These items can bloat the game and make it hard to run, but I've tried my best to make it work. Before windows 11 everything was mostly fine, as long as I was using a computer with adequate specs. Now, even using a good PC my game almost never wants to start, when it does it's after at least 3 failed launch attempts, and it requires a click on a pop up that will become inaccessible if I click anywhere else on the screen before hand. I love this game, I've put literal years of my life into this game, but it's getting to a point where I may uninstall it and move on to something newer -- something I never wanted to or thought I would do honestly. I have spent the last hour trying to get my game to start, tried all the fixes I know, looked up new tips along the way. But this may be the end for now. Save your money, save your time.

So I used to have this on the ol' CD-ROM and spent quite a bit of time with it. It's alright as a life sim - but I just can't overlook the DLC pricing issue. The game is $20 and so are each of its DLCs. To buy Sims 3, with all of its bells and whistles, would be $400. In 2026! For perspective, I can get Silksong for the same price as one Sims content pack. That is insane and unforgivable.
