This seems more like it was made in an ACTUAL blender. *Appreciate the original assets though.

Unfortunately as is, this game seems to be nearly unplayable without some prior knowledge I don't have. Without a tutorial or so much as a map of the controls, you're dropped in and just have to figure what you can and can't do. This would be a hurdle on its own but you don't have much time before the monster starts stalking you. On top of learning how to do anything, you have to figure out how to defend yourself against a creature in an enclosed space. They are fast and if they catch you 9/10 times it's an instant game over. My first go around, I was ambushed by the werewolf and lost immediately. I'd like to think there are strategies to survive but the time between discovering the monster and death consistently seems to be around a second and a half, even playing on easy. A tutorial that gives you the controls, a brief tour of the house, maybe an example of how you can defend yourself against a monster would do wonders for this game. As it is, I didn't get the sense there was anything you could do to survive. For the monsters as well, it didn't seem like they had any behaviours other than to look/listen for you, detect you, and chase you very quickly. On a positive note, I did really like the art, both the monster portraits and the models themselves. The newspapers you get on a game over (of which I saw a good few...) are very charming. At $14.49 I do think this game is significantly overpriced and cannot reccomend it.
