The Secret of Retropolis

short but fun game

Great prologue to the sequel. It only last an hour, so take that into consideration.

[h1]句句不提人，句句又都是人[/h1] 本作是一个VR游戏，但实际上我并没有感受到VR的独特性，游戏在玩法上属于典型的点击解密类，这意味着游戏通常不会有太多“激烈”的操作，同时也意味着游戏对于氛围、环境的塑造会更加关键，如果本作是一款非VR游戏，那体验可能还不错，但本作是以VR平台呈现，游戏并没有太多让我体验到“VR特性”的设计，相反，反而有一些非常影响体验的小毛病： 例如文本阅读。 游戏的字幕总是会浮现于物品上方，而很多剧情都发生在我手持某件物品的时候，这很考验我眼球聚焦的能力，看着非常难受。 游戏剧情简短紧凑且完整，但“得益于”点击解密的游戏性质，流程并不紧张刺激，且解密难度较低，对于那些渴望高难体验的玩家而言，并不合适。 游戏所讲述的故事相对平庸，没什么高能，哪怕是最后那一点点的小反转都没有太大惊喜，属于“意料之内，情理之中”。 如果我是开发者的话，我会提供一份非VR的版本，但VR却又是本作有且仅有的、“不可替代”的特色了，结合上游戏较短的流程，我认为本作的性价比并不高。 综合体验下来，游戏属于甜品级VR解密游戏，流程短、特色少，参考游戏整体素质，我只建议VR游戏和解密游戏的双料爱好者在游戏打折期间入手体验，于我而言，游戏并不是很吸引我。 [quote]欢迎关注三真万法鉴赏组: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45742107/ 欢迎加入三真万法鉴赏组: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/szwf [/quote]

Damn that was a short game. I think my play time was 50 mins? I liked what I played; I'm just happy I bought it on a sale. Now to play Retropolis 2...

The Secret of Retropolis is a very good throwback to point-and-click adventures games like The Secrete of Monkey Island or Grim Fandango. It very much has the same feel as those types of games, but with the added benefit of being in VR. If you enjoy adventure games like those, you will enjoy Retropolis. It is short, but the price is reflective of that. My only nitpick is that it's a little too easy. I would have appreciated some puzzles that required a little more thinking, but I enjoyed the game so much that I can overlook that. I've purchased part two on the PS5 for the PSVR2 and I'm looking forward to playing it next.

The graphics are a joke. The game looks like Alone in the Dark... yes, the first one. You can call this an art style, but I call it lazy. You can create a retro art style with good graphics, too. And it is a very short game. I finished the game in under an hour. It's like a intro for part 2. I can only recommend the game, if you are planning to play the second part as well, which is longer and a continuation of the story. If you like this type of game, I recommend the "I expect you to die"-trilogy.
