Chapter 1. Easy game, story is okay, graphics are fine (a bit more details sometimes wouldnt be bad), sound is acceptable, the weak point is only the game length but its only chapter 1, i hope many good chapters will come. What i miss was a few more achievements like watch all stuff ot the principal stuff, or get scared 3 times by the cat or combinate 2 things that dont cooperated 2 times with it together or a special combination, but i am happy with 8 achievements and hope 8 more comes with every chapter. A good beginning, now hope next chapter cans hold up. At the moment because the game has only a small play time i give the game 75 %.

[h1]For kids, but it still needs better QC[/h1] This is a point-n-click adventure game. It's just the first chapter and is quite short. Most of the game time is spent waiting for your character to walk from one place to another to either examine an object, talk to someone, use something or pick up stuff. Children should like the premise - you're a kid monster investigating a mysterious occurrence with the help of your friends. The dialogue, content and general presentation are all very "kiddy": colourful, big characters; childish conversations; simple adventure obstacles. Adults (like myself) may find it far too juvenile to be enjoyable. The game needs better language editing: spelling and grammar errors are prevalent. If I were a parent, I'd be concerned about my child picking up the wrong thing. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=759999133 And there are a few off-putting gameplay issues: - Game requires MS .NET framework. On first run, it took a very long time to install, and crashed immediately after download. - When changing scenes the game takes ages to load. In fact the first time it showed "Loading...", I thought the game had hung because I had to wait so long. - Very often, the game just "misses" right-clicks (e.g. when you want to fast forward text, you sometimes need to right-click 2-3 times before it'll register). - Text doesn't match voice. I noticed on at least 10 different occasions that the written dialogue and what the voice actor said were not the same. - On-screen exits are not apparent. Because the game screen "overflows" (i.e. the scene isn't contained on 1 screen), you have to walk left/right to see if there's any way to exit the scene there. Which wouldn't be so bad if your character walked faster. Then again I suppose kids (who are the obvious target audience) have all the time in the world. I can see the appeal in this title for kids aged 3-10, but the game needs to be polished somewhat first, bearing in mind what I've highlighted above, especially with regards to the linguistic errors. And given that this is only the 1st chapter you're paying for, it's not worth the asking price at all.

I'm honestly not so sure what I paid for. I played the first chapter of the game, the graphics and music was ok, though I had a bug while trying to lower the audio down. note that at the beginning of the game the narrator tells the story of the game and it cannot be lowered through the in game audio settings. to add to it, at the audio settings you can see 3 different bars to mess with, but it seems only one of them works (the sfx one) as a master volume to all sounds in the game. the plot was rather..a bit childish and strange? the puzzles were fairly easy for me personally, but I guess it's ok if the game was meant for a certain age. overall the game was ok, the real problem was it ended too fast! and apparently I need to pay more to play the second chapter! when the game was that short! it takes around one hour to finish it without the second chapter of the game, which for me was a total waste. would be forgivable if we didnt have to pay in order to play the second chapter too. so I can't recommend buying this game.

[b]Abandonware.[/b] As much as I'd like to recommend The Secret Monster Society, I just can't because of the devs. The game was supposed to be divided into 4 chapters and yet only two of them are out and there's no news from Deceptive Games for a year and a half now. Well, I guess I know where the name "Deceptive Games" comes from now (wink wink). Sure, I paid for only two chapters and I don't mind waiting for the rest of it, but the least they could do is answering and letting people know if they just abandonned or postponed it. Who likes unfinished stories ? I will gladly edit my review when I heard any news or announcement from them. I was waiting to finish the game to post an overall review, but after such a long time I'll settle for the released chapters. The Secret Monster Society is a short Point & Click adventure game mostly targeting a young audience but it's like cartoons : you can enjoy them at all ages and understand more jokes and references as an adult. I actually liked the first two available chapters, which are a good introduction to the universe and the characters. A nice surprise. Well animated, and the voice acting is great. Well, I didn't really play it, my kids did. They really enjoyed it and they didn't stop playing until they finished it... which unfortunately is the only negative side, since they only took one hour and a half (my daughter asked if this was just a demo for a full game). So, recommended but not for full price, it's too short. Waiting for part 2

まだ1章だけで短い､カートゥーン調ポイント＆クリックゲーム｡ キャラの動きがコミカルで海外の子供向けアニメ感が出ており､ 全編英語フルボイスで声もキャラとよく合っている｡ 概ねよくできてはいるが､セリフをいちいちスキップできず 全文聞く必要があったりして､痒いところにまでは手が届かない｡ また､言葉の壁が高めなので､ガイドを見ながらの プレイじゃないと､次に何をしたらいいか分からなくなると思う｡ トレカ・実績対応､日本語未対応で少々厳し目｡ 内容の短さに対して定価は高め｡全実績解除まで1,2時間｡ この手の英語ゲーを好んで買う日本人は少ないとは思うが バンドルにでも入ってたら実績厨なら喜べるかなーとか､ まぁ､そんな感想｡内容は良かったのでおすすめ評価｡

This game is very funny and entertaining to play. Love the art, the music, and the story so far. A must play. Hoping for the next chapters to come out soon!:)

Episode 1 was pretty good. The game has easy puzzles which kind of do ruin the game for me, but I have been playing Pnc games since the Amiga days so for me this was very easy. Will pick up the rest of the episodes on release. My Score - 6.5/10

I loved this game and am really ready for chapter 2

An amazing call back to classic point and click adventures. Influences from classic old school adventures from the likes of Discworld and Lucas Arts titles are crystal clear so if that is your cup of tea then jump in. Memorable cheeky characters, great art and interesting puzzles to solve. Very story driven with some Nickelodeon's "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters" flavour added to the mix. A pretty entretaining throwback to a genre not very common nowadays.
