while not on par with the best in the genre, i very much recommend this game for anyone who loves solving puzzles and mysteries.
I really enjoyed this game. The characters were all slightly demented. The voice acting was a pleasant surprise. The "time limit" aspect had me slightly nervous, but you don't need to inspect every item/piece of evidence to progress each character's individual story/quest line. This is a gothic/spooky atmosphere mystery, not a jump scare horror story. The game has multiple endings, but it's forgiving. If you're the kind of person that has to have the absolutely best ending, it might take two playthroughs. You can win without doing everything.

For a game that has little to no challenge when it comes to deduction or mystery in general the time limit is really annoying and feels completely unnecessary. You can gain all evidence and whatnot but it's annoying that you can't talk with everyone about everything for more dialogue (which is very solid in this game). The time limit and random things that block you in this game make it not just overly easy but also a slog where you can't actually get any interesting info without throwing away a "perfect" run. A huge part of the negative review comes from culprit identity. A large aspect of what makes a whodunnit good in most cases is a compelling villain. This game has one of the most boring, obvious, convoluted, and poorly written antagonists in any mystery game I've played. The game basically holds your hand and shows you who did it and then treats you like an idiot for an additional 20 hours so you can't beat the game until it says so. I really think this game would be at least a teensy bit better if you weren't forced to wait around or speed through the game just to finish all the quests so you don't get the awful ending (not that any of them are very good). This game feels like the writers wanted to make an interesting mystery but they only cared about the red herrings and next to nothing else. Really disappointing game, wish I had just watched someone play it instead of sinking so much of my time into doing everything I could
A decent point&click game masquerading as a detective game. The pacing is horrible at times, the Hint system is unreliable most of the times(Profile character can mean anything from searching completely unrelated room to discussing a character with other guests) and the puzzles can only hinder a 5-year old, but the story is intriguing.

A very substantial and fun mystery game. I loved the characters and thought the comic book-feel was super cool. I will admit that the time mechanic did stress me out a lot at the beginning, but there is ample time to solve every mystery and plenty of clues scattered about to keep each thread going. The game does a great job overall at weaving Irish folklore, Irish history, and the supernatural into the story as well [spoiler](though I would recommend paying close attention to the mythological elements presented for the ending to make sense)[/spoiler].
What a very pleasant walking simulator. Creepy, but not too scary atmosphere, interesting detective story (even if puzzles were rather simple), nice voice acting and reasonable length. I also enjoyed the visual style, I thought it perfect for this atmosphere. Recommended!

I seriously really liked this game. It is definitely an extremely good refurbish of Gabriel Knight 3. I am just frustrated with the game as I ended up dropping it due to its time mechanic. I really wish every action was not timed and the game would have an internal night/day cycle based on progression instead. Despite having a timetable, timed events were too stressful for me on top of finding the clues. I think the game even gives you a head's up about managing your time, and if time management was too difficult of a mechanic to handle, I think it would be better off not being implemented all together. If you don't mind managing time and want to play something similar to GK3, I would highly recommend this game.
