About

In The Royal Writ, you don't just play cards - you command them on the battlefield. Place your loyal subjects strategically as they advance toward the enemy, dealing damage. But beware: any card that reaches the enemy base before victory is permanently destroyed and removed from your deck for the rest of your run.
Sacrifice isn't just a risk - it's an essential strategy that creates memorable sub-stories with each run. Will you honor the subjects who gave everything for your cause? Every fallen card tells a tale, and their glory lives on in the legacy you build.

Lead an army of adorable yet battle-hardened animals with abilities to shape your strategy. Your ranks may comprise a frail and wounded flamingo, a short sighted chicken bowman, or even a crafty lizard who cheats death by only losing its tail! From the renegade red ants to the sacrificial lamb, every card in your deck has a personality and purpose.
As they march toward glory or death, their individual stories become part of your kingdom's legacy, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten. You may even come across some peculiar creatures on your journey, like the crazed mantis dentist, the goat tactician or the impatient boar shopkeeper - just don’t ask them where they got their credentials.

Conquer the realm through two distinct adventures:
The First Campaign pits you against a growing rebellion as you try to maintain the king’s good and just rule (objectively). Battle your way through a challenging environment filled with deep pits and poison swamps as you try to suppress your enemies. As you progress, you may start to wonder if there are more to the kingdom’s troubles than meet the eye?
The Second Campaign introduces a new threat - gunpowder. As new experimental weapons now enter the battlefield, your strategy must change. No longer are you simply avoiding the environmental hazards - you must dodge an onslaught of bullets to ensure you and your troops are not fatally wounded as you march forth.
Each campaign features unique cards, bosses, and strategic challenges. The battlefield awaits your command!

I love the art style of the game and it's what initially attracted me to it. Gameplay wise it's fun deck building roguelike turned based map movement. The game is currently split up into multiple "Acts". Acts each have their own arc of the story but, they also have their own mechanics. At the base they are still both deckbuilding roguelikes. Act 1 is fun and and relatively easy to learn. You can play the demo and experience Act 1 to certain extent. Act 2 introduces the morale mechanic. If your morale gets too low it'll cap your board multipliers to 1. Act 2 also has it's own set of cards. So it become a very steep learning curve. I'm still struggling with this mode and for those who want a challenge in deck building this is for you. The game has it's challenge modes which set restrictions as well. The challenges are fun and they aren't ridiculously difficult but, they do force you to think and build than you might normally would. I'd highly recommend you play the demo. If you enjoy it you'll enjoy playing Act 1. They did make balance changes for the cards since the demo. So you'll have to adjust the strategies but, they are mostly the same. Act 2 is why I find it hard to recommend. It's such a steep learning curve that it's not fun. If you enjoyed the demo but still on the fence then wait for a sale. It's definitely worth the money.
LOVE this game!! please please please I need a t-shirt with the games art and cd of the soundtrack <3
비주얼은 이렇지만 생각보다 어렵습니다. 미크사 선생님이 짱이야
https://youtu.be/LPOBl764Ia8 Some of the balance may be off, but the style and kookiness is at least worth a look.
Highly recommend if you are interested in the roguelike deckbuilder genre. There's a lot of charm here already, and the game mechanics are, if not completely unique, a fresh take on elements from a pretty wide variety of sources, put together into a package that is quite unlike any game I've played before. There's a delightful variety of playstyles available, many of which are totally unique to this game. I have only played a few hours, but so far there's a huge amount of replayability to see here with two 'acts' providing quite distinct experiences (some different mechanics, different card pools, etc), challenges providing twists on those experiences, and ramping difficulty modifiers to climb through for each act. A few minor downsides: There are a few bugs I've noticed, but nothing game breaking, mostly either purely visual or related to achievements (I got a few that I definitely hadn't achieved). The "stick" that taps your score to reveal it after calculating is just annoying, there's an option to speed it up but why on earth is this even in the game? Finally, when your hand size gets large (lots of consumables can cause this in particular) it can be very difficult to select cards at certain positions in your hand, especially if you want to use a consumable on them. All these are quite minor though, really, and haven't hampered my play experience aside the odd brief frustration.
什么时候把*-1的debuff弄好点,再给好评 攻击一次给敌人加10000多血,很幽默?
The charm of this game is unlike anything I've seen before. As simple as the rules may seem at first, the amount of unexpected synergies and sudden complications make this game hard to get bored of. Not to mention, the amount of times something bad would help me, and something seemingly good would sabotage me really adds to the originality of all the possible strategies. Some things in this game really stick to the theme that Medieval times were difficult, and even the most simplest of things had risks for the better or worse. Death in this game is utilized as a part of your story. Loosing a card can be as little as giving them away to a sacrifice for something better, or loosing one of your bravest warriors in battle and genuinely grieving them and all they had endured for you. (I'll never forget you, Bacha, Knight of Yore). In my personal opinion: the game is fun and charming. It's art style is eye candy to me, and I love all the effort put into its humor and functions. The music and sound effects are great too. Id beg strangers on the street to play it if I could, but since I have better things to do (like playing this game), I'm begging strangers on the internet instead.
