가격대비 정말 재밌게 즐겼습니다 플탐은 짧지만 진짜 괜찮은 게임
Cheer up gents, we got a job to do.
Może i nie jest najgorszą grą tego typu, ale po dotarciu do odprawy z 5 misji wywala komunikat ,,utracono połączenie" i tyle. Lepiej odpuścić.
Purchase price: 0,99 euros A decent short shooter with five missions. It'll give you a basic roster of weapons including a few rifles, a few submachine guns, a shotgun and a few more. The graphics are decent for a close to 15 year old game. Don't expect miracles from the game, but for a single buck you'll get a few hours fo shooting with no microtransactions or DLC in sight.
return to castle wolfenstein but with better mechanics
i LOVE CITY GAMES. This one is absolute cinema. Awesome!
Bom jogo!!!
The Royal Marines Commando is a World War II–themed first-person shooter developed and published by City Interactive S.A. that reflects the design sensibilities, ambitions, and limitations of mid-2000s budget military shooters. Rather than attempting a cinematic or character-driven retelling of the war, the game focuses on delivering a straightforward, mission-based combat experience centered on British Royal Marines commandos, a unit less frequently depicted in WWII games compared to their American or Soviet counterparts. This focus gives the title a degree of thematic distinctiveness, even as its execution remains firmly rooted in traditional shooter conventions. The game places players in the role of an elite commando operating across multiple theaters of war, including Western Europe, North Africa, Norway, and Scotland. The framing narrative revolves around intelligence reports of a dangerous Axis weapon project, providing justification for a series of covert and direct-action missions. Storytelling is minimal and functional, delivered primarily through mission briefings and objectives rather than in-game dialogue or character development. This approach keeps the emphasis squarely on action, reinforcing the feeling that the player is a tool of military operations rather than a deeply characterized protagonist. Gameplay follows a classic linear FPS structure. Each mission guides the player through tightly controlled environments where progress is achieved by eliminating enemies, navigating hazards, and completing clearly defined objectives such as sabotage, infiltration, or area clearance. Combat relies on familiar World War II–era weaponry, including rifles, submachine guns, machine guns, and explosives. Gunplay is serviceable but unremarkable, with weapon behavior and feedback reflecting the technological standards of its era rather than modern expectations of realism or impact. Encounters are frequent and straightforward, emphasizing reaction and accuracy over tactical depth. Level design reinforces this direct, arcade-like approach. Environments are themed to reflect their historical locations, offering visual variety through deserts, snowy landscapes, rural villages, and industrial zones. However, these spaces function primarily as corridors for combat rather than as interactive or explorable battlefields. Player choice is limited, with occasional alternate routes providing minor variation but rarely affecting strategy. Enemy placement is predictable, and encounters are designed to be tackled head-on rather than circumvented through stealth or creative problem-solving. Artificial intelligence mirrors this simplicity. Enemy soldiers generally react to the player’s presence without advanced coordination or adaptive tactics, resulting in firefights that can feel repetitive over time. While this predictability lowers the learning curve and keeps the game accessible, it also reduces tension and replay value, as encounters rarely evolve beyond their initial patterns. The challenge comes more from enemy numbers and damage output than from intelligent opposition. Visually, The Royal Marines Commando is unmistakably a product of its time. Character models, animations, and environmental detail are functional but dated, lacking the polish or dynamism of higher-budget shooters from the same period. Lighting and effects attempt to convey atmosphere but often fall short of creating a strong sense of immersion. Sound design is similarly utilitarian: weapons sound distinct enough to communicate function, but there is little in the way of memorable audio design or musical scoring to elevate key moments. What the game does succeed at is presenting a consistent, no-frills depiction of commando-style warfare. Its focus on British forces provides a different historical lens for players accustomed to more familiar Allied narratives, and the variety of locations helps maintain interest across the campaign’s duration. For players with an interest in World War II settings or in experiencing shooters from an earlier era of PC gaming, this historical framing carries some appeal. However, the game’s limitations are difficult to ignore. The lack of modern quality-of-life features, basic enemy AI, and repetitive mission structure mean that it struggles to compete with more refined entries in the genre, even those released around the same time. It offers little in the way of innovation, relying instead on established formulas without significantly refining them. Ultimately, The Royal Marines Commando is best understood as a modest, straightforward WWII shooter that prioritizes action over depth and historical flavor over narrative ambition. It is unlikely to satisfy players seeking complex mechanics, immersive storytelling, or tactical nuance. For those interested in budget military shooters, retro FPS design, or World War II games that spotlight less commonly represented units, it provides a compact and serviceable experience—one that reflects both the earnestness and the constraints of its development context. Rating: 6/10
