The Revenge of Johnny Bonasera: Episode 1

I didn't mind the graphics being lo-fi, but what irks me is that there are about a total of 15 screens in the entire game, and I finished it in less than an hour. There's barely any sound, no music except for about 10 seconds worth. If this game was 99 cents, I wouldn't complain, but it is WAY too short for the price. The closest it comes to "South Park" is you can finish the game in about the time it takes to watch an episode of South Park.

Extraordinary characters to talk, interact, humiliate, hit, insult. Ruthless, merciless and all with a cartoon/comic graphic, hand-drawn I think. That's about all there is to say about the game. It took me three hours, but that's only because I had to search the www for so long to see other players playing to get through this really difficult short game. The music cannot be turned off and there is no help. Dear parents, be careful that your offspring does not get their hands on this game. It is pure glorification of violence. The only reason I still recommend it is because it's actually well done and the story is relatable as well. Aberwitziges Abenteuer-Spiel im Stil eines Zeichentrickfilms. Das ist die Geschichte von Johnny Bonasera, einem Kind, das von einer Punk-Gang geschlagen und gedemütigt wurde. Voll von unersättlichem Verlangen nach Rache, verspricht Johnny jeden einzelnen seiner Peiniger zur Strecke zu bringen. Skrupellos. Gnadenlos. Außergewöhnliche Charaktere zum Reden, Interagieren, Demütigen, Schlagen, Beleidigen. Skrupellos, Gnadenlos und das alles mit einer Cartoon/Comic Grafik, Handgezeichnet denke ich mal. Das ist schon alles was es zum Game zu sagen gibt. Ich hab drei Stunden gebraucht, dies liegt aber nur daran das ich so lange im www suchen musste um anderen Spielern beim Spielen zu zu sehen um dieses echt schwere kurze Game durch zu Spielen. Die Musik lässt sich nicht abstellen und es gibt keine Hilfe. Liebe Eltern passt auf das euer Nachwuchs dieses Spiel nicht in die Hände bekommt. Es ist Gewaltverherrlichung pur. Der einziege Grund warum ich es dennoch empfehle ist, weil es tatsächlich gut gemacht ist und die Geschichte ist ebenfalls nachvollziehbar. [h1]Не грози Южному Парку, пожирая бутерброд у себя в квартале[/h1] Перед нами продукт краудфандинга и инди-разработки - эпизодический, чистый и незамутненный "point and click"-квест про злобного мальчика, который только и занимается тем, что мстит всем подряд. Начиная от гопников, заканчивая злобными пришельцами, спецслужбами и не менее злобной полицией. На данный момент в игре четыре эпизода, каждый займет от часа до двух вашего времени. Все четыре эпизода представляют собой довольно бесшовную историю и сюжетная арка сейчас полностью закончена. В качестве специй прилагаются множественные отсылки ко всему, что еще движется (и даже тому, что давно умерло). От Звездных войн до Секретных материалов, Людей в Чёрном, Двенадцати обезьянок. А некоторые сцены просто напрямую обыгрывают определенные моменты из других игр или фильмов практически дословно... Чёрный юмор конечно стерпит всё, но надо признать, что при всём этом игра выглядит всё-таки скучнее Teenagent-a или Flight of the Amazon Queen, на которые тоже похожа по тематике и стилю шутовства. Впрочем, серия вполне заслуживает поигровки хотя бы раз, для ознакомления. Это не детские игры. Не покупайтесь на мультяшную графику (довольно неплохо сделанную, к слову. вполне на уровне современных мультиков). Не дай бог игра попадется на глаза Мизулиной - на один Стим в нашей стране станет меньше. Есть в игре и повесточка, да и персонаж которым мы управляем еще тот гад и постоянно выкидывает коленца явной антисоциальной направленности. Звуковое сопровождение у серии несколько подкачало, больше напоминает старые флешевые игры. Серия довольно проста для получения всех ачивок. Подавляющее большинство из них тут сюжетные и в трех первых играх "идеальная игра" выпала автоматом. В 4-ой части есть как минимум одна скипабельная ачивка, не пропустите. Итого: Если надумаете купить - стоит брать все 4-ре части сразу, так как история заканчивается только в четвертой, во всех остальных открытый финал. И по сути все 4 части - это одна игра примерно на 5 часов, состоящая из нескольких глав. Серию стоит брать по скидкам или в бандлах в пределах 100-150-рублей за комплект, такие предложения бывали в около-стимовых магазинах и на бандлосайтах. Но не забывайте, игры очень нишевые и могут не вписаться в ваши вкусы, в некоторые моменты отторгают нудностью игрового процесса не разбавленного мини-играми. В другие - излишней жестокостью, некоторые люди даже могут усмотреть тут пропаганду "колумбайна".

Little point and click game, that was made with a lot of heart. Might not solicit any chuckles, but it is a nice diversion for a bit. I would only recommend purchasing at a huge discount, given the length and breadth of gameplay. There is a bit of music and a bit of (public domain?) sound effects, but nothing compared to the extensive assets contained in other similarly low-cost p-n-c games on steam. You will get a sense of supporting an indie developer, but with other chapters already selling here, this first chapter should have been a no-cost introduction to the series. I played this game on ubuntu linux 19.04 without any technical issues. The game uses a java-runtime engine, and it takes a 130 MBs of diskspace. The game contains a tiny bonus episode, as an extra, which is accessible from the menu.

A casual and enjoyable few hours pointing and clicking. There are enough funny moments throughout to make a play-through worthwhile. The bonus adventure is enjoyable too. overall a very good casual game. I recommend it. very funny moments, had a lot to laugh. the price of the game is good.

[strike]Hilarious[/strike] adventure game designed in a TV cartoonish style. Little bit funny? Yes. Hilarious? No. The Revenge of Johnny Bonasera is a short point and click adventure with mediocre story without depth, however it has a few funny moments. The gameplay it's the usual point and click (adventures) style of gathering items, combining them and using them in the game, most of them are straight forward (logical ones) and not hard to figure. The art its ok, I liked it. You can beat the game in an hour and the mini game (it contains another short(er) mini pnc adventure in the menu) in 15 minutes. I got the game from a bundle (got it in a trade actually, but it was a key from a bundle) for cheap price and for me its worth at that price. 3.99$ its too much and I don't advise you to buy it at that price because its short and that price tag its just way too high for the content it has. Buy it when it's on sale (max 1$) or in a bundle. Overall ratings (at the moment of writing this review): 66% positive which I think it's pretty accurate. My rating: 6/10
