This was a really fun game. It seems very homemade and simple, just my kind of game. 10/10 worth the buy I for sure didn't work on this game. Nope.
"Quest For Moes," the brainchild of developer Corey Clements, is an abysmal 2D platformer that manages to achieve the extraordinary feat of being one of the worst games ever created. Inexplicably, this game carries Corey's name as its creator, which only adds insult to injury. Gameplay (2/10): The gameplay in "Quest For Moes" is a dumpster fire of epic proportions. Corey's attempt at designing Bray, a character with all the charisma of a wet paper bag on a quest to save yet another uninspired, magical world, falls flat in the most spectacular way possible. The controls are sluggish and unresponsive, as if Corey intentionally wanted players to suffer. The level design is a textbook example of laziness, featuring unimaginative, copy-paste platforming challenges that offer zero enjoyment. Any new mechanics introduced are so poorly implemented that they feel like cruel jokes. The difficulty curve is a rollercoaster of frustration, with spikes in difficulty that make no sense and are sure to lead to controller-smashing rage. Graphics and Art Style (3/10): The hand-drawn art style in "Quest For Moes" is a visual assault on the senses. While some levels attempt to be creative, the result is a mishmash of colors and shapes that could make even a preschooler cringe. Character designs, including Bray, look like they were drawn by someone with no artistic talent whatsoever, and the lack of consistency in the visual style is baffling. Corey's artistic choices leave players wondering if they stumbled into a nightmare. Story and Narrative (1/10): The narrative in "Quest For Moes," if it can even be called that, is a monumental failure. Corey's attempt to craft Bray's journey to save the magical world is a narrative cliché so overused that it's painful to endure. The characters are flat and devoid of any personality, making it impossible to care about their plight. The dialogue is an excruciating exercise in failed attempts at humor, with jokes so bad they'd make a dad joke sound like Shakespearean poetry. Corey's storytelling is a trainwreck of epic proportions. Sound and Music (2/10): The audio design is yet another disaster. The soundtrack, if it can even be called that, is a cacophony of annoying tunes that will haunt your nightmares. Sound effects are grating and add nothing but irritation to the overall experience. Corey's sound choices are a symphony of auditory torture. Replayability (1/10): "Quest For Moes" offers absolutely zero reason to replay it. Collectibles and hidden items are scattered around the levels, but subjecting yourself to this torturous game for the sake of completion is a form of self-punishment that should be avoided at all costs. The local multiplayer mode is a slap in the face to anyone you convince to play this travesty with you. Corey's attempt at replayability is as empty as the void left in players' souls after enduring this atrocity. Conclusion: "Quest For Moes," with Corey Clements as its developer, is not just a bad game; it's an affront to the entire gaming industry. Corey's failure in every conceivable way, from gameplay to graphics to story to sound, is a testament to how not to create a platformer. There are no redeeming qualities here, no moments of enjoyment, and no reason for anyone to ever touch this abomination. It's an insult to gamers everywhere, and it should serve as a warning to all developers of what not to do when creating a platformer. Corey Clements' "Quest For Moes" is a catastrophic failure that should be avoided like the plague.
