About
Below are classical bits, which all regular computers operate on. Boooooring!
Much more exciting are quantum bits (or qubits for short), which are not limited to simple {0,1} states.
Qubits are so hot right now! They are the building blocks of newfangled quantum computers. As newly-minted employees of The Qubit Factory you will have the privilege of processing qubits in our state-of-the-art production lines. By harnessing the power of quantum entanglement and superpositions you will help up deliver exciting new computational products to our valued customers!
The Qubit Factory is an open-ended puzzle game about building logic circuits to solve computational tasks, inspired by classic titles from developer Zachtronics. Based on authentic representations of quantum bits and components, The Qubit Factory features puzzles based on key concepts and algorithms from the field of quantum computing.
Open-Ended Puzzles - Factory employees are encouraged to design their own unique solutions to given tasks. Bonuses will be awarded to those meeting strict efficiency criteria. Convoluted and/or poorly-optimized solutions will be frowned upon.
Faithful Physics - Designed and programmed by a real (semi-successful) research scientist in the field of quantum computing: key concepts and algorithms from quantum computing are conveyed accurately, allowing players to build genuine knowledge about quantum computing!
Accessible- Core concepts are built slowly, with players encouraged to build foundational understanding in classical computing before progressing to quantum analogues. No prior computer/physics knowledge is assumed!

It’s one of the few games that takes REAL quantum mechanics—like Bell States, CNOT Gates, CHSH Inequality, Imperfect Quantum Cloning, and Entanglement Purification—and turns them into a brilliant automation puzzle. If you want something that actually respects your intelligence and forces you to learn a new branch of science, get this (plus it’s free)! The learning curve is a vertical cliff. I spent half my time deep-diving into Wikipedia learning weird notations and debating circuit logic with Gemini just to grasp the physics. For me, the hierarchy of the struggle looked like this: Studying basic quantum computing > Bonus star optimization (Saving space >> Improving accuracy > Saving time) > Routing & wiring > Timing synchronization > possibly Prompt engineering. What really got me was this question: "Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good at entangling qubits?" My answer feels like a 50/50 superposition of Yes and No. Exhausted, but glad the logic finally clicked.

I can't believe this game is free. It's free and it's not trashware off to bloat your library. It's a great game and it's price does not reflect it's value. It's got a really clean UI, it's fun, it's free, and it's challenging. Did I mention free? If you like "Zach-likes", go on and pick this up; At $0.00, you can't afford not to.... It's free.
I don't get why this game is free. Not that I'm complaining of course, but I would have happily paid for it, especially if I'd had the chance to play a demo first. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for other games the dev has made.
...I as an avid gamer and science afficionado have played many games, but that thing... it scares me. This game is somewhere in between being rudimentary and efficiently designed. I have played 6 hours thus far of **just** trying to internalize the concepts and the frameworks the circuit components is showcasing to extrapolate the foundations of the engineering field these puzzles attempt to broach. I have not found it lacking. When I play games I usually want some sort of hook or draw but this game does not offer much of that. Instead it offers you the joy of "feel free to brute force the puzzles". Some you can outsmart, others not nearly. Add on the challenge of "Bonus Star" objectives to each level and it urges and coaxes you to learn optimal strategies and minutia of the mechanics of the circuit logic, quantum or otherwise. I would rate this game a 9/10 if only for the fact that immersion while subtle and not overtly compelling is still an aesthetically designed component of this game. I may have only just got to the Quantum logic levels but...this game is highly satisfactory and I have little doubts that by the time I finish all the game has to offer, I will feel much more comfortable with understanding the foundations of the logic that these systems: Binary and Quantum, have to offer.
I love it. It's the greatest game I played.
Haven't played much yet, but I like it. I think the controls can be a bit clunky at times, and sometimes the explanations are a bit confusing. With some polishing I think this could be both a fun game, AND a legitimate educational tool. Quantum education and quantum outreach will become more important as the field grows over the coming years; to have a fun experience that presents a, game-ified, but decent explanation of the fundamentals of quantum is really neat.
