The Plucky Squire follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends - storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book.
When the malevolent Humgrump realizes he's the villain of the book - destined to lose his battle against the forces of good for all eternity - he kicks the heroic Jot out of its pages and changes the story forever.
Jot must face challenges, unlike anything he's ever seen if he is to save his friends from Humgrump's dark forces and restore the book's happy ending.

It's a cute game. Very creative. Not for someone looking for something super in depth story wise.. It's a character in a children's book... It is a childish adventure story with all the stuff that entails. It's fun and relaxing.

Un jeu à la fois très beau, très riche et vraiment agréable à prendre en main ! J'ai beaucoup apprécié les différentes mécaniques et le passage de la 2D à la 3D. Les personnages et l'histoire sont très mignons aussi, et le niveau facile est pratique pour pouvoir jouer avec des enfants.

Game is great, but a little simple for me. Got dragged in by the art style but it left me a little wanting gameplay wise. Would absolutely recommend for children or anyone looking for a simple game to play but this just didn't end up being for me unfortunately.

Como diz na apresentação do jogo na própria página da Steam, em O Escudeiro Valente você vai saltar frequentemente para dentro e para fora dos livros, não apenas alternando entre um mundo 2D, 2.5D ou 3D, mas também entre estilos de arte completamente diferentes. Estruturado em 10 fases, cada uma delas traz uma mecânica completamente única e distinta, fazendo com que se cansar do jogo seja praticamente impossível. Além da história, o que te move adiante é a curiosidade de "O que será que a Devolver e a All Possible Futures têm mais a oferecer?". O jogo é belíssimo, nunca deixando de surpreender com a qualidade das artes, independente do estilo que seja usado no momento. A ideia de tornar os colecionáveis do jogo não apenas Concept Arts do jogo em si, mas breves textos falando sobre o desenvolvimento é brilhante e cria uma sensação de diálogo entre o jogador e o jogo em si. Como tudo que a Devolver põe o nome, esse jogo é uma das mais divertidas, belas e memoráveis experiências que já tive com videogames e não sou capaz de recomendá-lo o suficiente. Apesar de curto, não falha em um único momento. 10/10 mais fácil que já dei para um jogo.
