Sinopsis

nice
Fun and short puzzle game, almost reminds me of Portal.
A simple free and short puzzle game. Some of the mechanics are similar to Portal but there are also some new mechanics like gravity which is enjoyable. Even though, the movement is not very smooth, it is not a problem. I think there is no reason to dislike this game.
"The Pentest" one of those minimalistic first person puzzle games (Portal has a lot to answer for), but this is genuinely made, although there's some frustrating lack of polish in some parts of the game. Puzzles are your usual Khet light beam pathing, block moving and so on... we've seen these done quite a few times. It's a bit of a niche but if you like these kinds of games, you might enjoy this one, and it's hard to argue with the price. The graphics in this game are serviceable enough... if this was a paid product I might not give this a pass, but being completely and genuinely free gives a lot of leeway. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. Here, you get a reasonably even match, enough to give this a pass. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 7 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. Frankly I'm a bit surprised it's so low, and while amateur devs often try to excuse the failures of their games with "It's just because I didn't advertise" (almost always a flimsy excuse, their games failed because they were bad), in this case it really does seem like just a lack of publicity. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Yes, believe it or not. While this is far from a perfect game, the deficiencies and drawbacks can be overlooked due to the zero up front price and the value you get out of it. It's greater than the sum of its parts, and worth downloading if you're a fan of this kind of gaming experience.
Portal if it were boring
I will give it a positive, but only barely. The puzzles are nice, however the movement and controls are a bit clunky at times and the game looks about as grey, bland and boring as possible.
